It's considered the 'international' release. International releases always receive bonus tracks and b-sides on their releases. For example, Japan got No Roads Left on certain editions of their Minutes To Midnight albums. NRL is still a b-side, however.
I wouldn't consider "Home" a b-side, per say. It's not on the CD version for America, but it's on the vinyl edition. And it actually has a place on the album, unlike most other misc./b-side songs. I like the With Teeth lyrics poster, that was pretty cool. Unused lyrics for certain songs included, entire lyrics for songs that probably won't see the light of day for years and years...
Double post, but it's worthy news. Maynard announced earlier tonight on some radio station that in addition to a new A Perfect Circle album already being basically finished, that sometime next year he's going to enter the studio with Trent to work on a new project. It was supposed to happen this year, but it was put on hold due to Trent being overworked (How to Destroy Angels, the Social Network, having a baby). I highly doubt it's going to be anything related to Tapeworm, but Maynard & Trent in the same studio together... my wet dream. Let's just hope this stuff sees the light of day eventually.
It's on the Australian version as, like, a bonus track. Hence why there's that space in the tracklisting after "Right Where It Belongs" on the inlay in your CD case. It's a B-side since it was created for "With Teeth" but wasn't included on the main tracklisting, which consists of thirteen tracks. Maynard x T-Rez? Tapeworm's back from the dead, yeah. ;"
I keep forgetting about this because I don't generally keep stock in artists' personal affairs, but good for Trent.
I don't either, unless it's highly publicized (his drug use), but when you post as actively as I do on a fan board like Echoing the Sound...some of them make the LP teenies look tame in comparison. Since, y'know, these people are grown ass men and women and they're OBSESSED with Trent. Not just the music.. everything.
Echoing the Sound is honestly the best, several members of the NIN camp post there occasionally, even Reznor himself. I stay away from the NIN part, much like this website and the LP section. The other music section there is always busy, and they have great threads about various world issues and whatnot. Movies and TV too. Porn too, I think. Well, NSFW atleast.
Seriously? I never noticed behavior like that around ETS. I'm not exactly a regular though, so I don't know.
It happens occasionally. Most recently they posted a picture of Trent, Mariqueen and Trent's grandfather, who just passed away a few days ago. ETS is alot like the LPA, they don't like the discussion of his personal life. NIN fans are the most passionate, but sometimes they can be extremely goddamn creepy when it comes to the small details. Around the time Year Zero was announced, the ARG started... it was crazy. Broke down every song that was released to look for more clues, they always had it solved within a couple of hours. Anyone remember the spectrograph or whatever of, I think, My Violent Heart? With the hand of the Presence? That was an easter egg for the fans!
Yes -- before I bought "Year Zero" in mid-2008, I read so much into all that had happened the previous year that I may as well have been there. ;D Nine Inch Nails fans are very thorough and efficient people, and, for the most part, they aren't total elitist dicks.
Well, I'd like to think they aren't total elitist dicks. ;D Back in the day, I hung out for a bit on Sharing Lungs, which is a Deftones fan community, so that shaped my idea of 'elitist' on a music-oriented board. ;P
If you want music elitists, check out the Comatorium. I'm not sure if it's still around, but I used to post on there a few years ago. It is/was a Mars Volta community, with TONS of bootlegs (which are band approved). ETS has it's fair share of pricks too, though. I'm probably the biggest music prick on this website.
I've always heard they are, but I've never posted on a fan board for either of the two bands so I can't really speak on it. I'm a massive Tool and Radiohead fan, though. So that might be true.
