You know, after watching interviews, and reading more about Trent Reznor, especially how he did the earliest NIN stuff, I've gained a lot more respect for him.
oh fuck. tickets were $72 a pop. guess rachel's not going unless trent really loves massachusetts OMG IT DIDN'T MERGE DOUBLE POST FUCK
"extremely limited" amounts + EVERYONE (since the spiral got fucked over) = no chance in hell you're getting presale unless you're F5-ing like a motherfucker. on another note: Kentucky was only $45. rachel might be going after all.
double posting again, but oh fucking well. the people at MusicToday (the people doing the presale) are jackasses. i emailed them so i could know how much money to transfer into my debit so i can attempt to buy the fucking tickets, and this was the response: how the fuck do you not know the price of the tickets you're selling i know trent likes to be all suspenseful with his "soon" and "2 weeks" but come on. WE NEED TO KNOW THE PRICE.
since there is just way too much information floating about and no one posting, here i am with a triple post. the "demon seed" artwork flipped + the "head down" artwork at the tail end = .org ETS has lost their minds now
I've been checking that thread at periodic points during the day, because I want to see what everyone's saying about the artwork. Some of the comments, while they might hold water, crack me up to no end. I did notice one thing though, that has been bugging me. WTF is with the (253) as the genre? EDIT: That .org that they're referring to, it's PRINCE.org. I'm sorry, I had to say it. XD Edit again: Fuck. They got me started. Why the fuck do I have to analyze everything? Although, reading some of the stuff from ETS, and thinking about it has given me some funny ass shit. For instance, the mention of (253) being an area code lead me to Tacoma, Washington, and the layering of 1,000,000 and Discipline's artwork gave the numer 10, and Demon Seed's thing gave the number 170 (which I don't see, but whatever). So, being an idiot, I went and typed 10170 into Google. It's New York, New York. Check, I'm not kidding. I'm not reading anything into it though, it's just a mindless way to pass the time until I can find something else to do.
Gah, I wish Trent would come to the Sprint Center. It's a relatively new arena and we need someone to tear it up. =D Also, oh shit. If this artwork actually does turn out to be something big... Hmmmm. This is going to be interesting. EDIT: I got some excellent wallpapers for widescreen monitors from ETS. Check the "Wallpapers" thread on their "The Slip" forum.
Well, if "I BOW TO YOU GODLY PIG" was thought up, then why not prince.org? Seriously, Trent said he was inspired by Prince when he made the first NIN record, so why not? Then again, that might be a huge stretch.
Some people are complaining that this CD sucks. ...well, while it may not be the best work Trent's ever done, it's probably the best FREE music we'll ever hear so those people complaining on ETS can stfu.
