No. A New Hope was around 20 years after Revenge of the Sith, otherwise Luke and Leia would have been 12, and Obi Wan wouldn't have been so old . Still, I agree it would have been cool if Han was introduced. I hated the 'slapstick' droids at the start. I had to remind myself I was watching Star Wars, not the Power Rangers.
Luke is 18 in A New Hope. At least that's what my brother told me.
Watched it last night, I was highly satisfied, a lot better than Episodes 1 and 2. I like it more than Empire Strikes back (my second favorite Star Wars film.) It's better when you're under the influence.
I've heard A New Hope happens 12 years after Revenge Of The Sith. Luke looks 18, but there is no way in hell Leia is 18 in that movie if the gap between Revenge Of The Sith & A New Hope is 18 years. No chance. I'm going to go watch The Empire Strikes Back. Owh yeah. B)
Well, The Phantom Menace is 30 years before Episode IV. Attack of the Clones is 10 years after...making it 20 years before IV. Revenge of the Sith was 3 years after...making it 17 years before Episode IV. So, therefore...Luke is 17 years old. And yes, Leia was 17...she was adopted by a royal family...making her princess.
The movie was very awesome. My only complaint is the ending. It seemed sort of rushed like: ok they took Anakin and made him Darth Vader,Padamay had two babies(one comes out) LUKE! (the second one comes out like two seconds after) LEIA! Padamay dies, Luke and Leia are taken to foster parents. Darth Vader learns he was at some fault in Padamay's death He does a corny NOOOOO yell

It's not that it's the best movie of all time, it's just that this is THE END. The end of the movie saga. The end of any movie that we would consider waiting in an 8 hour line to see. EDIT: <!--QuoteBegin--inventionofitstime1004@May 22 2005, 07:15 PM ok they took Anakin and made him Darth Vader,Padamay had two babies(one comes out) LUKE! Since he is still in his mind Anakin, he still has emotions, which kind of doesn't project very well when your voice is altered and your lungs are burnt medium well.
Agreed. I loved the movie, but it's not phenomenal. I love Star Wars, but I have more patience than that.
I know what you're saying, but if read a different way... You have more patience than to wait in an 8 hour line? 8 hours isn't long enough for you? How about 10? 13? So what was your favorite part of the movie, kiddos?
Spoiler In the end when Obie-Wan Kenobi cuts Skywalkers legs off and he starts talking about how he considered him to be brothers and shit. <!--QuoteBegin--Tempest@ May 23 2005, 12:03 AM Agreed. I loved the movie, but it's not phenomenal.
Yup exactly.
1. The Anakin-Obi Wan fight. 2. When Yoda came into a room and threw two guys that were coming up from behind him into the wall. 3. When one of the droids kicked R2D2 over.
Yup exactly.
He cut his legs off? I thought he just cut off his arm. Guess I wasn't paying enough attention to notice it.
He cut his legs off? I thought he just cut off his arm. Guess I wasn't paying enough attention to notice it.
No he already had one arm cut of from Attack Of The Clones. So ya, he cut off his legs.
No he already had one arm cut of from Attack Of The Clones. So ya, he cut off his legs.
He had one arm cut off in AotC, and had his other arm and legs cut off in RotS. You know it's true because Skywalker only uses his robot arm to pull himself up. Yeah, Obi-Wan's speech is awesome at the end.
1. "YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE! YOU WERE MEANT TO DESTROY THE EMPIRE, NOT JOIN THEM!" 2. Anything where Nataline Portman is in viewing range. Girl has skills and beauty. 3. When Anakin walks into the Jedi Palace, and runs into the group of kids. Gave me chills when you see the shot of Anakin's hand, and then his lightsaber. 4. After Anakin slays the separatists, and you get a close-up of Anakin's eyes. His eyes told the story there. 5. The overhead shot of Anakin leading the troops into the Jedi Palace. BADASS. Yeah, I pretty much love Hayden & Natalie in this movie.
