I just realized the battle also has the Force theme in it. John Williams is my hero, along with Howard Shore.
Yeah, they are some...tight..people. I also liked how they included like, all of the composed music. Duel of the Fates got my hopes up a lot...thought the battle would be more interesting once it started playing.
The Good The graphic of the movie is excellent. It remind me Linkin Park - Pts.Of.Athrty music video XD. The Bad When Anakin Vs. Obi-Wan the camera was focus too close I can't even see their faces when they are fighting. Overall this movie deserve a 9/10 from me.
I disagree, especially in this movie. I thought he did a great job, he wasn't a whiney bitch like he was in the last one. I saw it last night and I thought it was great. Then again, I'm not really a Star Wars fan, so what do I know? But I did like this one. Natalie Portman.....doesn't get much better than her . 8/10
THE UGLY: 1. The new score was atrocious. John Williams really left things on autopilot here. There's nothing memorable, but the original music from over 25 years ago. 2. Drowning the screen in special effects does not garner the appreciation of the fans; quite the opposite. 3. One of the most faulty scripts from a major franchise since Batman & Robin, but hey, at least those one-liners were actually funny. I can recall several memorable lines from the original trilogy, nothing much from here... 4. Where's the "Titanic" we were promised? All I saw was more action and less justification for it. Very little emotional pull when that was really what the story needed. THE BAD 1. Jimmy Smits and Samuel Jackson really had nothing as actors to contribute to this film, as did many of the characters. Again, an error in writing and directing by Lucas. 2. The lightsabers were used so sparingly in the first films and therefore caught out attention when whipped out. I don't think this film lasts several minutes without a fight scene. 3. WAY too many scenes. Calm down George, you don't have to tie everything up in a neat knot. Just tell a story without regards to answering every question from the fanboys and curious. 4. Anakin's turn to the dark side felt too much like a U-turn. We really didn't get much time to see any real confusion in Skywalker. All of a sudden, he's going to desert everyone he's every known? THE GOOD (or close to it) 1. Hayden Christensen did a great job (given the material) as playing Anakin/Vader. His eyes really conveyed more than the words could. Likewise for a sometimes off-base McGregor. Much respect goes to Ian McDiarmid, who constantly kept the film in line, but shouldn't have had as much prescence as he did. 2. The final duel was great. Of course, after 2 hours of mind-blowing action, it felt very anti-climatic. Also, where's the great war of words like in Empire or Jedi? Again, mindless action, but nevertheless, this is what we came to see. 3. Most of the effects (while worthless in some instances) continues to push boundaries. General Grievous (sp?) was probably the most successful effect in the entire film. Amazing. ALL IN ALL This film felt forced, no pun intended. We weren't allowed time to let things sink in because we were assumed to already know what was happening. The script was really the biggest mistake here, though. We don't really care for many of the characters, mainly because we're not given the great scenes needed to appreciate them. (Remember when Yoda lifts the X-wing up? If you hadn't seen that movie, you probably would not have cared much for Yoda.) I expected more emotion. I got more action. But I still applauded Lucas in the end for taking on such a massive effort and continuing to be stubborn and make the films to his liking. 7/10
And I've just seen it a second time... And by the way...for those of you specific people who wondered what Palpatine was looking at when Anakin came into his office to report what happened between Obi-wan and Greivous, it was plans for the Death Star (it was the red projection Palpatine was looking at).
Yeah, same. But I want to go see in theatres now. It was fucking awesome. I wish I knew more about Star Wars...then I'd be able to fucking understand it better. _edit ROFL. <!--QuoteBegin--Omar@May 21 2005, 02:55 PM 4. Everything from the Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan fight scene on was my favorite. That was great stuff. Also, Yoda can kick some serious ass, lol. I agree with Omar when he said that there were too many scenes. There were some scenes that really could have been left out of the film because they didn't make any sense. Oh well. Excellent movie, over all. I may go see it again. XD
But there were a lot of deleted scenes in the movie too (I read the script before seeing the movie). One deleted scene I recall: You actually see Yoda talk to Qui-Gon Jinn in this movie. Yoda apparently becomes his Apprentice. Dude...As much over-loaded scenes as there have been...they should have shown more introductions to characters you'll see in Eps 4, 5, and 6. It would have been interesting to see.

[/b][/quote] Yeah, well it's kinda hard to introduce people from 4, 5, and 6, seeing as either they are little kids who have nothing to do with the current story or they haven't been born yet or somesuch. I personally do not want to see little Lando doing something in episode 3. And yeah, I was wondering about the Qui-Gon bit, seeing as Yoda leaves the whole 'training' bit open. A question, if Obi-Wan had to be trained to see the force ghosts, how the hell does Luke see them so easily?
well saw it last night and here is my two cents on the whole thing... The graphics were AMAZING. the very frist scene with the space battle totally blew my mind. and some of the light saber battles were awe inspiring. especialy the battle between Obi-Wan Kenobi and General Grevious. when the general had the 4 light sabers going crazy.... . The other major scene that captivated my mind was Order 66. some things were lacking though, the scenes Anakin saw of Padme diein seemed to lack what the rest of the movie had. the quality seemed really crappy, and lacking. and some of the dialogue was crappy and almost pointless. over all this movie was intense, and worth the wait. rating: 9/10.

You can see them...Obi-Wan was trained to follow that path into immortality so when he dies, he becomes a ghost like that.
heh, yeah i saw it on the midnight showing.... carried around my vader saber....few came fully dressed, but i wore all my sith stuff..... i thought the movie was awesome, and everything that is supposed to happen did happen!! it rocked!!
I saw this film the day of its release, but to be honest it was a real let down. The only thing I truely enjoyed were the graphics. Overall score: 4/10.
They could have introduced Han Solo I think. Since A New Hope is only 12 years after Revenge Of The Sith. He'd wouldn't be that young in ROTS. Maybe early 20s, I'd imagine.
No. A New Hope was around 20 years after Revenge of the Sith, otherwise Luke and Leia would have been 12, and Obi Wan wouldn't have been so old . Still, I agree it would have been cool if Han was introduced. I hated the 'slapstick' droids at the start. I had to remind myself I was watching Star Wars, not the Power Rangers.
