Numb=Pop?

Numb is Linkin Park.
Not pop.

 

For me Pop is Justin Timberlake,Britney Spears,etc.
And you can't compaire LP with them!!!

put it this way how can numb be pop, and my decmeber not be, niether of them are pop, they are defonitly rock but once in a while bands actauly like the fact of having a rock song toned down to fit in with the story the song is trying to produce, it still has the hard edge but the soft touches the band wanted to heve in the song.

 

Numb is whatever you view it as. Nobody can tell you what you think of it, so really in a case like this, it's up to you

 

Numb could be regarded as "pop" but in the sense of popular music. I don't believe it that way though, because when I hear the term "pop" I think of Justin Timberlake

 

I couldn't agree more. Personally society believes that anything out of their "norm" must fall somewhere else. Just 'cuz it's a more slower song doesn't mean it's "pop".

But then again why does it matter? If you like the song then you like the song. Plain and simple, if someone told me that was a pop song I couldn't care less. Pop, Rock whatever...they're all just genres and labels. Like it or not it's all still music

 

ummmmmm no. Is it popular? yes. Is it pop? no. People today have made popular music and pop different. probably because people like too many different things. Is it Nsync pop? HELL NO

 

I think Numb falls in its own catergory. Like Linkin Park is their own original sound. So Numb is not pop. Its just its own original sound.

The fact that anyone would classify Numb as a pop song is ridiculous. I agree with everybody who has said that just because it is a slower song, it doesn't make it pop.

 

i cant belive people are saying numb is pop thats bull s**t :angry: numb is a really good song it doesnt seem much lighter than the rest i think people are saying its pop is bacause its doin well in charts and just beacuse theres mostly pop in charts ppl assume its pop but numb is a beautiful song and whoever disses it can go get f***ed

 

hell no!! numb is not pop. pop sucks. numb's just soft but that doesnt mean its pop. so LP choose a soft song as a single. that doesnt mean LP's going soft or something. sheesh. numb rocks!!!

 

It depends on what context you would define "pop". If you mean popular, then I would say yes. If you mean pop by definition of associating it with bubblegum, cheesy music with techno-ey, repeated beats, or synchronised dancing with overlarged Tommy Hilfiger sweaters then no.

hey all u ppl who think lp r pop , this is what i have 2 say :
Linkin park r mixed rock ( techno, metal, and rap) if uve ever noticed some songs r hard some a slow .... numb is not pop as pop songs r bout the same teenie pop #### of sex n goofy love, lp have their own style !!!!!!!!!!. no offence 2 the the good charrlotte fan , good charlotte isn't punk rock but pop like avril lavinge !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if u r a silverchair , korn or limp bizkit fan u'll notice that some songs r hard n some r slow its just the mood of the artists.

lol. No offense taken. I know and everyone else knows that Good Charlotte isn't punk rock. They're more like pop-punk, but I wouldn't say they're Avril Lavigne-ish cause if you listen to Avril and GC, they are no where near alike. But whatever. This is off topic lol.

I think people say that cause it's slower then the others, and the lyrics are more deep, and understandable.
