    I can’t understand the first line from Emily before Mike’s “I got too complacent”, anyone knows?

    The song's narrator is blaming themselves in the first verse as they feel they became too complacent, and, so, opened themselves up to what is described throughout the rest of the song.

    EDIT: also, I was right - they wore the same outfits both nights
