I like Nobodys Listening  but i see what you mean about it not fitting in that much with the album. :chaz:
As the booklet from Meteora said, Mike and the rest of the band knew that NL didn't sound right with the rest of the album.... until the lyrics came in. They believed that the lyrics to NL fit with the rest of the album... And of course it wouldn't sound like it fitted in, it's Japanese flute. Try fitting THAT with guitar and drums and turntable.
Uh yeah... It's not that hard... I've heard other songs with Japanese flutes mixed with rock sounds... I could even mix a song with a flute in it... You can mix any sound with another to make it sound right... You just need to know what you're doing.
Oh yeah,i think Step up is one of the best rap-rock songs ever. And i think nobody's listening is pretty good, too. It has a bit irish-touch, hasn't it???
I like Nobody's Listening and the lyrics. Though I agree some of the other rap driven songs have better lyrics. I think Hybrid Theory has better lyrics than Meteora but I still think Meteora is an excellent album. More instrument driven to me.
I like Nobody's Listening..... Especially the part where Mike says "Ayyyum riding on the back of this pressure".
I think it's a nice contrast...and the transitions are pretty smooth in Nobody's Listening, if you ask me

Nobody's Listening is a pretty cool song, I think it match with other Meteora songs....I just like Meteora the way it is!
