    i get that. :) still, it's not fair for dave grohl to bash them on that. hell, how would you play a reversed acoustic guitar part live?

    Thats the thing, Dave Grohl wouldn't.
    As much as I love the Foo Fighters, he sure isn't doing anything that hasn't been done 204509 times before.
    Or even attempting to.

    I think this quote was taken somewhat out of context. Dave Grohl was basically saying "Yeah, we're doing The Pretender with an orchestra. It's a gimmick, but so was that thing Linkin Park did with Jay-Z. This is just a gimmick that suits us better."

    I also agree that he might have misunderstood the way LP perform live. It probably would have been better to direct that jab at, say, Tiesto, who basically just pushes a button and jumps around for the rest of the song.

    This quote from Dave Grohl sure has been heavily analysed. From him saying something about not wanting to do a performance with Jay-Z, it's rapidly morphed into him not respecting LP and Jay stuffing up everything. Not to mention the entire careers of the beatles
