To me, and I realize this is the dumbest opinion there is, it's fun to make these little jokes. What I don't understand is why The Killers don't get this level of hate. They're even worse.
There's countless bands that make generic, cliché, soulless music just to make money and none of them get as much stick as Nickelback. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of them but I just find it weird how people have latched on to hating them as much as possible. Though I have to say the noodle photo always makes me laugh.
The last time I said something along the lines of this, the whole forum was against me. Don't try it man, it's not worth it!
Just heard the song. Never really listened to Nickelback, other than Photograph which isn't a bad song, but I can dig this. Good job.
I do tend to end up giving things a fair shot, whether deserved or not, but What Are You Waiting For somehow sounds worse than that which came before, and that's saying something.
Filip, you are a fellow Coldplay fan and I consider you a friend, but... The Killers being even worse? I don't know what you're talking about, and this is just me being a huge Killers fan, but The Killers are awesome and actually have been extremely consistent with each album. No one song from them sounds the same and there's versatility, unlike Nickelback. Plus Brandon Flowers is a billion times better than Chad Kroeger at lyricism.
The Killers, Foo Fighters, Nickelback and HAIM are artists I just can't stand. The Killers on the very top of the list. And the singer... oh my God if I could punch one person, I choose him.
Filip's undying hatred for The Killers is too damn great! How does one fanboy over bands like Coldplay and Imagaine Dragons, yet hate The Killers?
I wonder if Derek can ban some of the users on certain threads like this for trolling. Not saying he should kick 'em out of the forums just don't allow them to go on this topic.
Apparently sharing an opinion that isn't positive is worth banning? Somehow, that just doesn't sound right to me... Threads are for discussion. If someone is going to start a discussion about any band, they're opening the door to negativity, whether they want it or not.
Nope, that's not the defintion of trolling. It's a term for internet users who want to make certain situations unpleasent by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting angry, whiney, jerky, improper, or off topic messages in an online community. Also, flaming and spamming are just terms for different kinds of trolling.
The Lryic video of WAYWF is already here. This one will almost make you think of the "Back to School" commericals. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-Ng5muAAcg
