I got curious and checked out how much the last album sold because I remember when the first single came out and then it seemed like there wasn't any other singles from the album. Silly me thinking it bombed, found out it still sold a million + copies in the U.S. I'd join the rest of you with the LOL GET IT THEY'RE SHIT XD jokes, but I'm not going to lie, I'm very impressed by their resiliency. They're like the musical Big Bang Theory.
I'll admit I feel a little for the band. I may not be fond of their music, but i do think they get way more hate then they actually deserve. Though i suppose I like Cake and if it wasn't for the production values on their first album, you could literally mix and match songs from any of their albums and it wouldn't sound out of place.
I'll just say this: "Savin' Me" is still the best song they've ever put out in my opinion. Then again, I say that because that and "Never Gonna Be Alone" are the only Nickelback songs I like. Everything else is...well, LOL
OK, I've always liked "Burn It to the Ground", but only because of Transformers 2, parody reasons, and that one time it was the WWE RAW theme song.
NB leaves Roadrunner and moves to Republic Records (which is owned by UMG) and their next single for their new album comes out next week, they also have another single coming soon before the new record comes out. http://www.billboard.com/articles/n...-edge-of-a-revolution-single-republic-records
Wow. Didn't see that coming! Kinda weird to hear this news since Roadrunner is practically synonymous with Nickelback!
Their contract must be expired, that could be the reason why they moved to another label. But yeah, It's kind of weird to see Roadrunner without them on their current line up. NB had always been one of label's biggest guns next to Slipknot.
You'd think Roadrunner would take the cash cow over the street cred. The band are probably getting a bigger cut elsewhere.
Republic is the label of AFI, Akon, Black Sabbath, Black Veil Brides, The Voice contestants, Florence & the Machine, Lonely Island, Mika, Of Monsters & Men, and practically every YMCMB artist out there.
