    QFT.

At the same time, since this is a fan site, if we keep getting shit like "this is shit. They fail. This sucks. LP suck" people will get defensive. I'm pretty sure you didn't do that, but for the folks that make those comments, it probably annoys alot of fans. I also get annoyed by "dick riders". The fans that attempt to force themselves to like something because its LP and wont admit that they think it sucks

The album cover actually made better fuel for discussion by leaving a lot more to the imagination.

Conversation for that ranged from "I see a dove!" "I see a sun!" "I see Mickey Mouse!" "I see Mickey Rooney!" to "It looks like crap" "It doesn't have to be complex to be good art" "I remade this in 5 minutes in photoshop!"

With this it's just "I like it" "I don't like it" and "He must be talking about the organs" "WHAT THE FUCK THERE'S NO ORGANS"

Wow it's something really new, that I don't used to hear from LP. now I really want to hear the full song, because this short preview is really odd. I'm not saying it's bad but not perfect too... just need to hear the full song as one piece.

I'm sorry and this is really off topic but Apple's security sucks, hardcore.

    1. People have managed to steal from them, very easily.
    2. At all hacker conventions their computers ere the first to be breached
    3. They are more "private" than secure, and that's only because they don't want people knowing what problems they're having.

But really, yeah, as for the clip I think it's very interesting. I'm not going to say I love it yet or hate it yet but I am VERY intrigued. .

*sigh* Well, I'm going to go over this one more time... And c'mon, if you're going to quote me like that at least acknowledge the whole post!

I said that despite what we say as staff, there are still fans who will always take criticism too seriously. I'll reiterate: If you don't like the song, the art, or what ever it may be, that's fine. However by expressing those opinions in an ocean of fans who DO like it, you should expect that opinion to be challenged no matter the circumstances. Most of the time negative/highly critical opinions ARE going to be the minority of any fan base, and all we can do as the staff is simply try to keep the peace by offering our suggestions and trying to moderate accordingly. At the same time, crying foul because of such and instigating confrontations doesn't make our jobs any easier, so we (or at least I am) asking that if faced with such an issue, do not pursue it and instead, let it go. I'm not saying it's fair, I'm saying sometimes ignoring the ignorant and immature comments is the best option.

And if you want someone to elaborate on why they do like something, why not ask them? This is a discussion forum after all. :)

off topic real quick but i was just watching the video for Numb and anyone else besides me think its one of the best videos they've made as far as emotion goes? Even though Chester has his eyes closed the entire time except for one time to blink, he still has lots of emotion in his voice and everything and the lovely Briana Evigan played an amazing role in the video as this unpopular young female with social problems..getting screamed at, at home and turned away from kids at school...its one emotional song/video imo

It's very difficult to make form an opinion out of this since we are listening to it out of context. For those of you that did, remember when you listened to the 30 second previews of the tracks on Minutes to Midnight? I don't know about you guys, but every song turned out way different than I imagined they would.

I'm really interested to see how this ends up turning into the same song that Mike posted a clip of earlier though, haha. (Lift me up, let me go..)

i am not entirely impressed by this new sound as its not NEW in my opinion. Maybe this will change when i will hear the full album/song and i also hope they will still be a ROCK band cuz the clip is more like from an electronia/dance band

No, your case is pretty different. It's one thing to criticise when criticism is due or at least try to be constructive, but nine times out of ten you're complaining and being confrontational for the sake of it. Think what you want to think though.

And yeah, God forbid that anyone moves on...

Well looks like all those claims about their new stuff being experimental has some genuine merit to it. I'm positively intrigued by these beats and other bits of electronica, it's nice to see LP return to these elements.

Err. I'm going to go back on what I said earlier and say now that I'm actually really digging this clip. It's very enticing and energetic. It kind of reminds me of the breakdown in Sea Legs by The Shins. Also the only thing that I could dislike about this would be the scratching *gasp* I feel that it may be too similar to the HT era but even so that doesn't mean it doesn't sound good so I can't say it's bad. It's just I think that it might sound a bit too similar is all.

Also for the people who are saying they love LP no matter what, that's not being a fan at all.
And for the people hating on it just because it's not what they expect or is different, move on, Linkin Park's not your partner, they aren't going to hold your hand and calm you through this storm. I suggest you just let go, it's a break up in every sense of the word if you're looking for the HT or Meteora sound.

But yeah, very diverse song so far. I can't imagine what it's going to sound like when it's all put together. Btw the "Lift me up, let me go" part is my favorite so far.

Love how they have incorporated the album title into the song lyrics.
