New The Catalyst Preview on YouTube

I have a feeling that if The Catalyst leaks, it'll be at most 6 days before the release of the song. That or earlier. I don't see it leaking more than a week away.

 

I hope not. Even if it does, I'm probably going to wait until the actual release date to give it a listen.

Maybe not the full track, but I think we will be getting multiple clips of it during the X Games coverage on ESPN. So if we tune in for that, it should give us a better idea of what the full song is like.

 

It would be pretty awesome if they played the music video during the X-Games.

That's my attitude for the album itself. But for The Catalyst I will listen to it in it's entirety asap. And no worries, it WILL leak. and even if it doesn't, I am a believer that LP will either 1. Put the whole song on their myspace page before Aug 2 and/or 2. Email The Catalyst to the people who preordered a day or two early. LP.com says on OR BEFORE August 2.

 

Wasn't it spposed to air or be used somewhere exclusively already on July 29th?

I don't mind if the Catalyst leaks early. By all means, bring it on.
HOWEVER, as for the album, I pray it doesn't leak but it seems inevitable

 

That album won't leak more than a week early. As for the single, should be anytime now.

 

So when I first listened to the clip I had heard it from my iPhone, and thought it was good. Then I heard it in great quality and got warm inside.....my pants. It's like...Minutes to Midnight found Reanimation and made whoopie with it.

On that day, ESPN will play snippets of it during the X games. But I just know LP won't let ESPN be the first source to hear their upcoming single. I for one will not be watching the X games all day.

 

Somehow I feel that this 34 sec preview sounds very different from the 10 sec preview we had before, I guess the song will have a lot of changes through its entirety (5'42'?)
Random: I love it when they included the scratching part in the Behind the Sounds clip and reveal it in the song preview!

 

I hope KROQ or some radio station have an exclusive like what they did last time with 'What I've Done'. Even though it was misleading and led to nowhere, you have to admit, it was very exciting.

Question: Will LPA post that as news if it happened? I know that you obviously wouldn't share any links or tell us where to listen to it. Lol I just want to know right when it leaks.

 

I would imagine (emphasis on 'imagine') that judging on what i've heard and what i think as a songwritier that this is a chunk (not the whole... can't imagine the amt of lyrics in a near 6min track) of the lyrics in The Catalyst:
