Actually, with What I've Done....didn't Mike basically say fuck it, i got this and went home and basically wrote the song himself (for the most part)? I could be wrong but I thought I remembered reading/seeing that somewhere.

 

My internet is slow. I have a broken keyboard... have to substitute for a virtual one for some keys. Slow indeed.

I agree with Minus. Sure, a DVD is nice but the fact that we are getting all the behind the scenes stuff for free is awesome.

Plus, the lack of a DVD just means we get more in depth LPTVs. I enjoyed Meeting Of A Thousand Suns but I hated feeling like a lot of awesome making of footage was wasted on LPTV episodes while we only got a 30 minute DVD.

Don't get me wrong, I love my Special edition of A Thousand Suns but this time around I think it just works out keeping things simple.

Edit: Now, if they do release a deluxe edition later on down the road with another awesome art book then I'll probably buy it.

Am I the only one apart from Arun1910 that still thinks putting them out on a DVD is still a good idea? Yes we've seen them all before, but its no different than buying an album you've heard, a film you love & a TV show you want to see again.

Lest not forget YOU DON'T HAVE TO BUY IT IF YOU DON'T WANT TO!

I would be more than happy to buy a Deluxe edition with the DVD full of all these LPTV eps. For just a few extra quid.

The point is that it costs money to make the DVD, and if Warner won't shell out the money, what are you gonna do? Having it free is the safe choice

Also, if you want a DVD full of LPTV episodes for a few extra quid, I'd be more than happy to rip them into a high quality format, burn them onto a DVD with some photoshopped art and send them to you. Just PM me your info and we'll work out payment.

 

Do that and put some weird ass porn as a bonus feature.

Why am I getting flamed for something that I've grown accustomed to the past few albums? But it sounds like we won't get a DVD anyway, So...

 

Or, they could just release them in hi-def somewhere, say... the Pirate Bay and let you burn them to a DVD yourself. Decreasing their cost and risk and giving you the content you want in an official release while supporting an awesome cause.

 

It's not flaming. It's a logical explanation of why it's not happening.

You act like this is something new. They've been hinting at this for quite a while. LPTV, exclusive webkit during the Meteora days (who remembers THAT?), hosting the entirety of MOATS online... It has all been leading to this.

 

I don't get what's the problem. We'll see the making of the record through LPTV, and that's it. End of story.
