    Demo lyrics:

    " I carried? your b----"
    I carried? the answer"

"And I was there in the grey
    There in the space below
    There in the space below
I was there in the gray
There that we came to know"

    "We build ourselves up
    to watch it come in
    We build ourselves up
    but through it all
    we can't wait
    to burn it down again"

    "Fuck, -------
But I'm going to get it ------"

"And you were there in the grey
    There in the space below
    There in the space below
And I was there in grey"

The demo lyrics are slightly better in the chorus than the final product.

You kidding? What I read is AWFUL. I'd much rather have what we have now.

Is it watch or wash? I assumed wash since it's "Buried At Sea"

You're right, I corrected them. If anyone else sees anything I don't then please post them so, lol.

I meant to say that I was only talking about the chorus lyrics. And no, I'm not kidding :p.

Agreed. I actually like the lyrics even though they're rather basic. Similar to how I feel about the lyrics of What I've Done.

Meh I hate the chorus lyrics of the demo. Sure the final product reads like something from Meteora but I feel songwriting-wise they're way better.

This song really just grows on me more and more. From the initial listen to now, the song has increased 3 fold.
At this point Burn It Down is on my top lists for favorite Linkin Park songs. I can't explain how excited I feel for the new album right now

I'm just glad "caught in the burning glow" was in the demo and made it to the final. It's one of my favorite metaphors the band has written recently. Reminds me of BITS in some ways.

A bunch of videos like this which add up to a good hour or something would definitely make up for the lack of DVD :)

Agreed. I also really like the opening line, "The cycle repeated..."

It makes the song feel all the more personal to LP imo (since I personally feel it's about how they treat their sound/how their fans treat their music)

To me, the most cringe worthy line is "we can't wait to burn it do the ground." I don't know, I just really hate that line .

So LPA now sponsors censorship while quoting song lyrics? It's the right thing to not allow homophobic language, racism, and any discriminatory views but really I can't see what harm it could be to allow making references to Linkin Park and Linkin Park related material on an Linkin Park fan forum. There was no harmful or racism sentiments anywhere.

But hey, rules are rules I guess. Even if they are just censorship.

Btw, for all my complaining I do still love this site, so no offense. It's just somethings I find hard to swallow.

But to comment on the video. Pretty cool. Hardly recognized Brad.

10 things I learned from this video

    1. Brad also helps in production.
    2. Rob's drumming is da beeeaassstt.
    3. The demo lyrics suck.
    4. Chester is accustomed now to glasses.
    5. The recording studio is covered with Polynesian rugs instead of candles.
    6. The band makes the music before making lyrics.
    7. Chester knows how to play piano.
    :facepalm:ofcoursewhydidntithinkofthis
    8. Documentary style LPTVs
    9. No more epileptic intro and outros

We're turning into SOPA! Oh noes!

Come on now. People read this site at work. It's bad enough we allow cuss words here (which I don't mind but an employer might), having "nigga", "fag" or "nigger" showing up in posts too isn't needed. Not everything is some political thing Jesse. It's not censorship. It's called respecting people who visit this site from work.
