Chester "rapping" doesn't really surprise me. Reminds me of B12 a little bit, which is a good thing as I love that song.

    It's like a really pissed off B12.

    "a little bit acid rain,
    a little bit celebration
    a little bit anarchy
    a lack of motivation
    it's painted upon your face
    beautiful hallucination
    you can't get enough,
you take it take it take it
    never say NOO!!!
    you gotta get it inside
you push it back down you push it back down GO!!!
you say you got every right
you push it back down blackout blood in your eye" -what I can get from it. (i realize somebody already posted this, but just for extra redundancy)

For the record, I really like the catalyst, but hearing Chester deliver this is just.....awesome.

Fucking awesome. That style of vocal hasn't ever really been preformed by Chester, it's amazing how they continue to come up with fresh sounds both instrumentally and vocally.

I have to force myself to stay away from all leaks and early listenings of this album. I'm sure that sitting alone in my room the night of September 14th listening to this from start to finish will be one of the greatest feelings ever.

Practice, practice, practice. You start at a growl and build up to a scream over time. At least, that's how I did it, because I was too scared of completely killing my vocal cords.

Slightly off topic: Anyone loving the little bits of filler with the band all distorted? They look fantastic to me.

    Scary! (in a good way)
Mike must have been thinking one of these songs when he says that Chester's losing his mind when singing.
I'm just curious how could a crazy vocal like this matches with a '80th Pop style with the cheap synthesizer keys' like ana said.
Also, like someone said in previous pages, if this is the worst song of ATS, the new album can't go too wrong. (hopefully!)

PS: The gibberish version ain't bad =p

Been a reader here for a few years, but finally lost the laziness to just sign up and become a member! But about the snippet, I have to say this track is going to be something that either you love to death or you can't stand at all. I feel like with this song, there's not going to be any in between, you know? Hearing Chester's fast pace screaming is a positive, though. I think it shows how the band is extremely up-beat and optimistic while recording and tracking in the studio. Can't wait to hear the album!

Wow! to me, it sounds like a cross between SOAD and La Dispute.

    That said, I love it!

It's not rapping; this actually reminds me of red hot chili peppers. Hearing Chester's new scream gave me goosebumps - the good kind!

I realize the songs are very different, but End of the World popped into my head after hearing the clip the first time also ^_^ probably just the similar themes.
