New LP Song Coming Sooner Than Expected?

Yeah, really.

 

I think that because Phoenix gave us this quote it can mean anything and isn't the best member to hear from about the new material. If someone like Rob or Mike would have said this, I would be more excited because of their personalities and how they go about things. I personally believe Phoenix is just hyping it up. I'd really like to hope it is a different sounding Linkin Park. Mike said they were working on a different sound so it could be very different. It's great to hear that they will have a song soon. I cannot wait to hear it. But if we are to trust "buckle your seatbelts" I think it sounds to be a fast and edgy song. I'm leaning towards an A.06 style with mostly Chester and little of Mike. I just pray Mike does not sing on it..

 

Why would LP make a full version of a song that already has a full version, and isn't their song in the first place?

 

I can't wait for the new song but I'm not going to set my expectations too terribly high. I did that with Meteora and I was disappointed within a month.

I think what they mean is Chesters part of the song. If anyone besides Derekt_Hit has heard the ''Hardly Breathe'' remix by Hydroponiks then i could see it being a full song cuz i LOVE that remix.

It was pretty cool, but I'm pretty sure Handsome Boy Modeling School owns the rights to the lyrics since it's on their CD, so it's about as likely as Mike using the lyrics from It's Goin' Down in a new LP song.

 

Exactly. With our luck, that wont be until a couple of weeks before the new album drops.

I'm excited actually, allmost thrilled. It's been so long since I've actually heard new Linkin Park material.

If it has Meteora's sampling, TRT's lyrics and the same level of instrument work as on A.06 and A Place For My Head, it should be alright.
