New LIVING THINGS Track Premiering 5.24.12 On BBC Radio 1

Is anyone going to hold off on listening and wait for LT to be heard in whole the day it comes out? It's extermely hard but rewarding

 

I try to promise myself that I'll listen to the first single and nothing else until I get the full album, but I am extremely impatient with stuff like this lol so not me =/

Whenever something I'm highly anticipating is around the corner, I usually end up watching all the spoilers/getting all the info/watching all the previews.

 

I would if the wait wasn't so long but it's more than a month away.

 

Yea, I already heard BID literaly hundreds of times and have heard "TINFOIL", and the live rap verse from "UNTIL IT BREAKS"

 

I've been saying all along that the prize for the scavenger hunt is going to be a live stream of a new song, and the share2earn's reward is a HQ MP3 of said song.

So yea, I think you're right =P

 

I could see the "rewarding" part if this album were another pseudo-concept one like A Thousand Suns, but the band has said time and time again this is a firecracker album full of energetic songs. I don't think listening to them separately will ruin anything for me. If anything, it will give me more time to appreciate each song that comes out.

 

Technically 33 days, 08 hours, 30 minutes for Living Things.

 

A live stream? That'd be complete bullshit. Anyone who didn't hear it live, unless recorded, would be completely fucked.

Glorious Excess can easily be related to the idea of greed and greediness. Zane made a point of saying bits of the song have been hidden in the clues around the world, so clues like these, particularly one as obvious as the first, mean something. LGM it is.

I just hope Share To Earn folks get a different song as well, but I guess we won't be getting an MP3 of the song tomorrow, at best maybe a replayable stream, which makes me think the S2E song will indeed be the same.

Could go either way. If I remember correctly, during the 'A Thousand Suns' cycle, Wretches & Kings was released shortly after The Catalyst but it wasn't a single.

 

Might one of the mods be able to turn that old thread with a compilation of song descriptions into a sticky so we can keep up until June?
