A new version of iTunes (4.9) was recently released; it lets people subscribe to free podcasts (sort of like radio shows that you can listen to whenever you want) in the iTunes music store. Apple just redesigned the iPod: All regular iPods (not Minis or Shuffles) now have colour screens, so they are all capable of storing and viewing photos on. What do you think? Apple.com
i have the 40 Gig Photo iPod, it's awesome. you know how on iTunes, if you right click on a song and click on "view info", if you fill it out and put the album cover with the song and the track title, artist, etc. (hence, creating an ID-3(correct?) tag), well the "Current" iPod only listed what you created, the track title, the artist, album title..... well on the photo iPod, it has all that, AND the album cover you designated to that .mp3. if you buy all your songs legally THROUGH iTunes, it should automatically have the album cover. if this post didn't make any sense, i'm sorry, i'm horrible with words and when i'm excited to explain something, i get caught on my words and just plain don't make any sense, lol. all in all, the Photo iPod kicks ass,.
The new iTunes is great, you can even publish your own podcast feed link on it. So now anyone can easily subscribe to your podcast. Everyone should have a podcast, it's kinda like a blog. I wouldn't mind subscribing to podcasts by some certain members here on lpa.
So, let's see if i understand this. If i sign up to have a "podcast", this basically means that you'll be able to listen to whatever i have on my iPod?

i'm loving it sooooooooooooo much. i love podcasts. i'm already subscribed to about 10 of them. i'm really tempted to get another iPod. or try to trade mine in for one. I hate the fact that there is only a 20 gig and 60 gig. but if they do do the video thing on the iPods, i guarantee they'll drop the 20 gig and it'll be either 60 and 80 or 60 and 100. I'm not sure what to do right here. I may just keep the one I have and get an iPod shuffle for podcasts only.
Fuck you, Apple. I just bought an iPod... now I want a new one. ...and I have very low income. Okay, I love Apple. But yeah, it was dramatic, don't you think?
If it was that recent, can't you return it? I have a question about iTunes. Which players does it support. I heard it also supports the Rio Karma. I was wondering if it supports the Creative Zen Touch as well. I doubt it but I just wanted to check.
Hmm, I wonder if they'd let me return it, even though I've had it since Christmas, and it has my name laser-inscribed on the back. @Glenn - No Idea. Try it and see?
At least you dont have the old school iPod...the 15GB normal one with the old touch buttons (four on top, and the wheel below it)....i need a new iPod!
I feel your pain. I have the super old-school one too. It's incomprehensible to me how people wouldn't want to trade their brand new iPod photos for the classic old-school iPods. Don't worry though, our ancient ones will the first one in museums.
I just got the new itunes. Its pretty much the same besides the podcasts which are realy cool. Im a big fan of Apple. I have the ipod shuffle. My whole house is full of apple computers my brother got.
fair play all the major computer companines are screwing me over........i wonder if they will start to offer a service to get the screen changed??
