If they pulled samples from anything else that wasn't an iPad, they couldn't call it the first album made entirely from what the iPad offers artists to use. so of course everything is going to be repetitive and, well, kind of blow balls.

The only thing I can really put out for this album, is that it's a little better than D-Sides, but, it still rather sucks.

this is the gorillaz we're talking about. not like they've ever been anything more than a gimmick.

I actually loved their first 2 albums. But this one and Plastic Beach are suckish to say the least... There's a lot of wasted potential in these tracks.

I think Damon needs a new project.

A new Blur album would be nice. It probably won't happen, though.

You're not allowed to be called a smart alec when you say I called you a "mind reader" when I simply stated (erroneously, it turns out) the original post didn't include that information?
"That" being his post. I was under the impression it never said that in this post, because I don't remember seeing it at all in the OP or else I wouldn't have brought it up to begin with; I was unaware of whether or not you knew it was made on an iPad, I was just informing you if you were not aware. Nowhere did I insinuate you were a mind reader, so yes, I consider that being a smart alec for reasons I can't fathom since I was only trying to help.

I was giving a reason as to why it was possibly made that way; I wasn't taking issue with your opinion of the album. As I said, I don't even care for it myself, so I'm not sure how you've drawn the conclusion I was taking issue with your opinion.

Relax, man. Casey got my point -- that was all I was trying to say.

Ant, I have no interest in trying to figure out what you're going on about anymore.

Back on topic. It's hard to consider this anything other than a G-Sides/D-Sides album. Usually those albums consist of remixes and songs that aren't very good or potentially good, yet feel unfinished. It's a nice experiment but I hope it just remains that.

A gimmick that makes better music than Blur ever did. Demon Days is still one of the better albums I've listened to.

Have you listened to The Good, The Bad & The Queen? Pretty good stuff. It's from 2007, but I just discovered it about a year ago.

It's pretty meh, and I'm usually a huge fan.

It's a free EP that I had no idea was coming out 2 weeks ago, though, so I'm not too terribly let down.

The whole thing was done in 32 days in Albarn and team's spare time on tour and it is free. So I wouldn't judge it as a serious release.
Anyway, I quite enjoyed it for what it is, little gift for fans.

You're saying that as if I even care about Blur. I don't think too highly of Damon's music to begin with.

I know. I was just pointing out it's his best work imo. If you have to do a gimmick to bring out the best in you, why not do it?
