After a tease from Mike Shinoda yesterday he has unveiled a new EP titled "Post Traumatic" which contains three brand new songs. All the visuals and music are created by Mike himself. The EP is available now on digital outlets which you can access via the revamped mikeshinoda.com website. Listen and watch the new tracks below. 1. Place To Start 2. Over Again 3. Watching As I Fall http://www.mikeshinoda.com/
"And everybody that i talk is like wow, must be hard to figure what to do now well thank you genius, you'd think would be a challenge, it's only my life's work hanging in balance." (or something like that) This is hard. Like, everyone is trying somehow to support and give opinions and advice, but fuck all of that you goddamn geniuses.
Great EP! Watching As I Fall in particular is REALLY good. I appreciate how brutally honest the songs can get.
Didn't expect such quality. Also didn't expect new music this early. I think Mike did a really goodjob with this.
That was grief, confusion, pain, and anger and more. I want to say there are little sprinkles of hope mixed in there as well, and maybe all that will present itself more so in the songs later, but right now, that doesn’t feel like the point. I hope this was helpful for Mike. The middle of “Over Again” was for sure the hardest part for me. Very raw emotion, that sucked me right back for a moment, and I too felt the mixture of grief, confusion, pain, and anger. The quick flashes of the...”substances” I think really made the point of where Mike either was...or still is. I would like to think it was more for the “artistic value” ...but I don’t think it would be thrown in just to be there.
This was so emotionally raw and challenging. I loved every second of it. The production is just my style so I loved it from that aspect aswell. The videos also encapsulated the intensity of the music very well. Thank you, Mike, for this.
Damn. Thats some really great and emotional music. Mike is just a genius. Cant repeat that enough.Watching As I Fall is my favorite though.
Mike Shinoda I love you. No matter how these would have "sounded", subjectively speaking, I still would have loved and appreciated them so much, but these really are incredibly sounding pieces of music, amazing. Thank you so much, I hope you and the guys are doing better. Thank you for the music.
I had trouble finding it, but then I searched for "mike shinoda post traumatic" on Apple Music and found it.
really pure and honest songs, also sounds great... although part of me wishes that I would never had to listen them, anyway thank you Mike, it helps me a lot to keep moving
Post Traumatic: he NAILED it! I love Over Again and Watching As I Fall. I love the "over and over again" loop. It seems to mirror the mental state of Mike. ps. at the beginning of Over Again, i was expetcing "I found a love for me" (Perfect, Ed Sheeran) lol
