Yea but not every fan threw something..For a very ticked off guy, he went over the line. [/b][/quote]
They didnt go after every fan, even the fans who werent involved came down. Like the guy in the gray sweater he came from nowhere and started pounding on Fred Jones for no reason, these fans were ridiculous.

Yah but these people are professional athletes, they have to learn to act in a professional manner. I mena it fans are being assholes then stadium security will take care of it and do their job. But unless a player is directly physically atacked, they should ahve no reason to start beating the hell out of fans.

OK Artest was acting professional until the fan crossed the line. What would security have done? Kicked him out and that was that. Nothing TOO serious. He'll come back next game and do the same. The fans need to stop thinking that these players are not going to do anything, if you piss a player off enough you're going to pay and thats that. For all we know that cup could have landed very wrong and hit Artests eye and cause severe damage. The fans took a risk and they got it. If you look at the tape when Artest goes after the innocent guy he doesnt touch him he realizes he wasnt the one and backed off, then threw a beer at Artest which caused Jackson to come down and beat on him. After that the fan who jumped right in front of Artest, what was that? He was telling Artest to hit him. The fans kept adding more. Im glad beer is banned from Detroit games for the rest of the year. But what bothers me the most is how people say they wouldve just told security. If you're already pissed and someone does something unnecessary you're not going to take it, you are going to act on it. The punishments were too severe IMO.

You know Artest doesn't really give a shit bout the suspension...this is what he wants, so he can promote his new rap album which IMO will sell less copies than Macho Man Randy Savage's rap album...then he'll realize what a dick move he made and he'll seek mental help
