Definition of a better artist would be someone they could WORK with..not just give a beat to. Going to go out on a limb here, but I'm guessing that Britney Spears didn't have a ton of fresh idea's to bounce off the Neptunes. Even if that's not the case...it would be intesting to see them work with someone different aside from the usual variety.
I heard a song from Papa Roach ft. Neptunes and its really cool, Dedicated gave it to me Download here (HA! fooled ya )
They made 2 different versions of the album, the US one is the one they used for the '...In Search of" videos (i think they used the international version of Provider for that video). The covers are different for both versions of the album. US version Intntl. Version ... I was listening to 'Tape You' from the first CD the other day, and it made me think of Paris Hilton
The whole album owns you. Personally, I think that they did a better job on Fly or Die than on In Search Of.... It's such a great album!

[/b][/quote] Yea, and they actually played most of the instruments this time, last time they had Spymob play backup. But it'll still be like that when they go on tour.
Does anyone know if Chad did any of the vocals on the album, because at parts I think "Is that Chad? Cause it could be, but then it couldn't... but then again I'm not sure."
I've never heard his singing voice (knowingly anway), but I think he does backup vocals on "Wonderful Place" (where he says "not me man..."). edit: I just rewatched their SNL performance, and he didn't have a microphone above his keyboard. But the drummer and keyboardist from Spymob did.
Alright, so everyone seems to love these guys... I've tried to listen to them, and I just can't get into any of their stuff. I don't know what it is, just not for me I guess.
The album is getting mad positive reviews. I dont think I've read a negative review all day. Good thing amazon.com didn't do one yet. -_-

maybe a stupid question but.... what does N*E*R*D stand for? and why did they change the name from the neptunes to nerd?
1. No-one Ever Really Dies 2. They didn't change the name. Neptunes = Producers (Chad & Pharrell) N.E.R.D = Band (Chad, Pharrell & Shay)
There's actually a big explanation about what it mean that was on the website when the first album was out. I'll have to go back in time and post it here. Found it at web.archive.org
I was wondering, since Fly Or Die has been out, what are your favorite songs on the album and why? Personally, I love The Way She Dances. The beat and the guitar are both awesome, the lyrics are pretty cool (some are clever too!), and we get to hear a little bit of Chad's vocals. I love the other songs too, but for some reason I just love this one... so what are your favorites?
Sweet Chariot Of Fire The Way She Dances Want War (bonus track from Drill Sergeant) Breakout Wonderful Place (and 'Waiting For You', the bonus track) Maybe The 'She Wants To Move' remix is very nice as well. edit: I like "Searching For A Way (from Sweet Chariot Of Fire) when I feel like chilling out and going to sleep. Which is right now.
Where is this so-called "She Wants To Move" remix that you speak of? I saw you say something about it before, but I guess I didn't really think of it then... edit: Oh, I see that it's on the single... duh.
