My Chemical Romance said that their new album is coming out Oct 24. It is still untitled at the moment but I heard a while back it was going to be The Rise and Fall of My Chemical Romance. http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1537694/20060802/story.jhtml
Yeah, that was just a spoof or something? I believe that's what Gerard said. October 24th...Alright. Still not sure what I think about them sometimes.
Yeah, I think that was just the band joking around awhile back. I'm not holding any expectations for this album, even though I really like MCR.
I'll definitely download the album, and probably buy it. I like the majority of My Chemical Romance's stuff.
I'm going to laugh when the drums sound boring because of Bob Bryar and all the MCR fans go crazy. Matt > Bob.
Yeah, and everyone thinks that Bob is cooler and better. But Matt recorded the orignal songs and stuff.
Gerard sounds horrible period. He went from decent singer with pitch, to person that might as well be speaking, to sorta bad, but not really.
Ew, I hope the drums aren't terrible. I love My Chemical Romance and I don't want them to suck. I dislike the fact that a lot of people hate them for being, "emo" and "mainstream" and I think it's just because people take things too seriously. They're a really great band, as long as you don't expect too much. They can be silly, but most of the time it's intentional, and I like that about them.
People come down too hard on My chemical romance. And honestly, who cares if people hate them for being "Emo" You may as well hate them for having a mother, because all music has some kind of emotion to it. Or else You got techno, the only real un-emo music. But I really like my chemical romance, both albums were good.
That is exactly how I feel. People look for an easy way out of explaining why they dislike something by calling it "emo" or "pop" or whatever other (mostly) bullshit label they choose to place on it. But more on topic, I dislike the producing on the second album. They make it sound too mechanical and robotic. It's still a quality album, but I wish they had left it a little more raw.
Gerard sounded like a machine on Three Cheers. The pitch was too dead on, which is nice if it can be done without studio editing, but he can't replicate it live. I like it better when it sounds real.
I love MCR and can't wait for the album. I'm seeing them on Sept 2 and they're supposed to play some new songs.
With all the recordings of the LP show in the Summer Sonic tour, does anyone have any of MCR or know if they played new songs? Or did they cancel those shows because of the wreck?
They said there was no wreck, Gerard and Bob got injured during the shooting for their new video and were unable to perform a street scene show. Other than that show, I haven't read anything.
