Yeah, as long as the artist in question doesn't try to look hard by trying to rap *coughEDISONCHENcough*

And so MTV runs out of good ideas.

Although that sort of happened when they started putting things besides MUSIC on MUSIC TELEVISION.

God, I wish MTV would go back to the way they used to be.

You do? You want to see lame rap videos and generic MTV rock 24/7?

Okay. You can take that, but I'll gladly take stupid shit like this over seeing Chingy or Simple Plan all day, all the time.

    ...

You're kidding, right. You people actually want to see MTV play New Wave videos again?

Get Satellite and you can have the other 5 MTV channels that play that bullshit.

Like I want to pay for Satellite.

And hey, New Wave was great. Difference in opinion, I guess.

Better than Mainstream Rap and Rock.

And the Andy (insert last name here) Show.

I thought MTV stood for Music Television. Where's the music nowadays?

    Eeeexactly my friend

I used to watch MTV a fair bit but now it's all shitty reality TV and the odd music video is shown.

Is that kid that idiot who does those songs just strumming the most hideous guitar chord in the world?

I didn't read every post, but I just wanted to point out that it's funny you didn't add 'again' to the end of the topic title.

Some good shows > Bad music all day.

I like some shows MTV has to offer (Viva La Bam, Punkd, Pimp My Ride, and some of those real world vs road rules shows). Only thing I have to say is, yes that show is pretty stupid but at the same time, some people just want something light hearted to watch in the moment. I think some people take things that aren't meant to be taken serious too seriously.

What ever happened to mtv. They made great shows, like Punk'd, TRL, Real World. Now they make this show? This show sucks. It seemed funny in the commercials and all but its just so stupid. Not even stupid in a good way.

    Yes, he is.

How about if MTV took the time to look for good music as much as they tried to look for crappy shows?
