MTV apologizes for Live 8 coverage

I missed the whole thing so luckily they're re-airing it--because I don't feel like watcing the whole thing on the internet.

Anyway, I agree with you guys, MTV does suck. And hearing that they had comercials during Live 8 just makes me hate them more.

 

I heard that right now on mtv,they are showing it again tommorrow i think.

 

K. What time does LP come on then. I'm trying to get this on DVD.

I'm going to my homies house. I have 1 DVDR left. I should record a bunch of stuff, but all I really want is LP and Jay-Z. I have this feeling the DVD coming out later this year will have like 2 songs per artist or something so I wanna get as much as possible.

Haha. Their coverage doesn't start until 3 PM.

 

Watch VH1's highlights and then MTV's... VH1 starts at 10... and some of the people I want to see perform will perform then (so I can have breaks during the MTV portion).

 

While they are apoligizing for that, they should give back the twenty years of music videos that have been interrupted by shows about angsty roommates living in an apartment in a random city.

I think that was very unprofessional that MTV cut in through such acts as Pink Floyd midperformance. On top of that those MTV VJs probably didn't even know one song by Pink Floyd. I wouldn't have been surprised if they were like "Ya give it up for Pink Floyd! He was great!"

Duh! That's what they're going to do...yes, we have coverage, but that coverage will be shitty.

 

Great timing though...The G8 Conference is over. It defeats the purpose and meaning of the show.

President Bush did not meet the 0.7% GDP goal that Tony Blair wanted and that the organizers of Live 8 endorsed. He (Dubya) increased aid, but we were so drastically under the 0.7% mark before that it looks good, but doesn't meet the desired expectations.
