    Maybe...

I was running poor on money so I had to use pennies. Leave me alone.

get a mini disc player, thats what i have.if you plan to get an mp3 player with a built in memory card that you can't buy more of, you'll have to erase a lot of stuff. you can get 5 mini discs and a case at Target for 10 dollars (if you're in the U.S.).I'd say a mini disc player is easier to handle.

I seriously think an MP3/CD player works best. You get 700mb on a cd and all you have to do is use one cd-rw and burn 150 songs onto it and there you go! It fits in my pockets fine too, so no need to worrry about size. Try anything by Rio or Sony. I've been using the same cd-rw for the last year, all I do is add and take off songs and I'm carrying around 7 or 8 full albums at a time.

While I agree 110%, I dont think his budget of 150 bucks would allow that ;)

Oh, I forgot to mention something. MD player can go something like 52 hours on 1 AA battery. That's some magic right there. When my friend brought his MD to camp a couple of years back (when they were hybrid) we would take the dead batteries out of his CD player and we could get like 10 hours play on them with the MD :teehee:

I have both. An IPOD and Sony Mini Disc NZ505. I like both of them really much. Better than my CD player. Sometimes I bring my IPOD and MD to school or bring all three. It depends the mood I am in.

I've seen some other models of the Sony MD Player that I THINK can record live sound. My friend has one with a small "remote" that you can hook up to the MD player and stick it in your backpack or something so you don't have to keep taking it out to change settings. There are some that support WAV WMA MP3 and ATRAC formats. I kinda started the MP3/MD Player craze at school a few years ago. When everyone found out I got an MD player for my birthday, a month later 4 or 5 more people got MD or MP3/CD players...

I read in Time, that Sony has a 40 hour disc for the MD Walkman to be released later this year. They also have another MD Wlakman coming out too I think. Oh, and I think this disc cost about the same as all others, $7 American, $10 Canadian or something...

Bah. I love my MD. I probably will buy an iPod in the future, but right now I'm happy. I have seven CD's on one disc which doesn't bother me.

If your going to buy an iPod, don't buy a mini. For $50 more, you can have the normal iPod, which has 15 GB : 3700 songs. An iPod Mini has 1000 songs. If your an athlete, or spend your time ingyms all day, buy a Mini, if not, go otherwise. ;)

Where do you people get MP3 players for so cheap? Mine costs £150 and it can barely hold 40 songs. Next time it breaks down (which will probably be soon) I'll be getting an iPod...
