I'd have to say Minutes to Midnight and Reanimation.

Interesting question. The first album that came to mind was Minutes To Midnight, because it seems to generally be the album with the poorest overall reaction from fans and critics, yet it definitely is not the worst album LP has made. (see: Meteora)

Then I thought about A Thousand Suns, but I dunno. People seem to love it or hate it. The people who glorify nu-metal hated it, but the people who wrote LP off 10 years ago because they hated nu-metal don't really want to give anything Linkin Park does a chance anymore. However, some of those people did give it a listen, seemed a bit surprised that what they had just heard really wasn't half bad.

Reanimation is a good choice simply because people don't really think about it when they think of Linkin Park albums.

Boy, I don't know. I'm not sure Reanimation is a good answer because it's generally rated high by, well, everyone. In my year or so of posting/reading Linkin Park forums I haven't seen one negative comment regarding Reanimation. If anything it's a tad overrated, lol. M2M is a great album (and better than Meteora might I add) in my eyes but it does have some big flaws so I can't say it's that under rated. I think ATS is probably the most right answer.

I'm assuming El Muerto was joking (or not?), but I know you're not. Hybrid Theory is the complete opposite of an under rated album. I mean, come on, haha.

Gotta disagree, I still thoroughly enjoy nu-metal but I also love ATS

Well yeah, there are the few people like you who feel that way. But most people who love nu-metal won't touch A Thousand Suns.

I really don't like nu-metal. But I got into "Hybrid Theory" and "Meteora" looong before I knew what that shit was all about. ;D

It's underrated by some fans that say: "ATS is the best LP album, even better that HT."

He saved my typing an answer :p

I feel like some people are embarrassed to say they like HT now that the more "mature" ATS is out. I think that in terms of solidness of album as a whole, HT is well ahead, although ATS has some excellent songs.

I dunno, I think that would be more of a case of ATS being overrated than HT being underrated. At least it is for me since I do think HT is still pretty damn awesome but that ATS is just a little better.

I definitely thought too highly of ATS when it first came out (that it was perfection or what have you) but have since realized its flaws. I will be disappointed if the band doesn't top ATS because I definitely think that they should be able to.

"IRIDESCENT VIDEO SUCKS LIKE THE VAGINA OF MY GRANDMA"

What. I didn't like that video but... what.

But to answer the question, ATS might be underrated outside of their fandom but within it it's probably overrated if anything. Same goes for HT actually.

The only album that I would probably say is generally kind of underrated is MTM. Not a great album overall but not half as bad as it has been made it out to be at points.

ATS is definitely very underrated, as only me and a few friends of mine enjoyed it so much.

I personally like The Yahoo!. :awesome:
