Don't flatter yourself, Cale. The only reason I bothered taking your comment into consideration for reply was because there have been members who have come to LPA drunk and thought the rules didn't apply when they were under the influence. Your post just allowed me to make that clear.

I'm inclined to think that the people who act as though they can't spell when they're 'drunk' are the ones who haven't actually touched a drop in their lives. I have a couple of friends like that.
I live in the same area as Cale, and the pubs etc he goes to are certainly real places.

With that said, drunkeness shouldn't mean the rules don't apply, especially if something offensive is said/done.

 

First of all. I never expected my infractions to be overturned. If i can remember I was just going along with what other people were saying about their infractions expiring. I almost never use smilies and I post as though everyone knows the way i'm talking. Probably gets confusing.

Second of all. I hadn't lost control that time and knew exactly what I was doing. However alcohol messes around with your mind and hence knowing exactly what your doing drunk is different than in a sober state.

Third of all. I'm not actually going to get drunk or smoke crack. It's Thursday.

Fourth of all. Sorry to waste all of your time.

Fifth of all. How long have I been on this place? It's happened once. Christ.

Sixth of all. Thankyou.

 

What if we just stopped bringing up the drunken behavior issue all together? Even if you're joking, we don't need to hear you continue the pursuit of this subject on a constant basis... especially in a thread such as this where we're asking the community for genuine suggestions.

 

My genuine suggestions weren't replied to. Granted I suggested them in the most non-serious way possible, and weren't at all related to the people making death threats or the way the forum is moderated. But suggestions none the less.

Tech Talk is good for about 2 threads a month and Writing and Artwork are both creative outlets. I'd say thats the most sensible thing I've ever posted.

Might even free up a spot for a General Discussion forum. Any random thoughts in this forum and obviously you would be insta-banned.

I highly doubt someone would actually care about that. I dont give a flying fuck if someone calls me a loser for being drunk. I'd rather be drunk than sitting home.

Hell, I came here online completely drunk and made posts with no sense at all and I got no infraction or a warning for it.

And why is everyone attacking Cale? Why would you not believe his drunken stories? Because you know him on a forum?

 

People have got a problem with Cale's drunkenness because he seemed to deliberately make posts which bent the rules and tried to use being drunk as an excuse.

At least that's what I can remember from that night.

 

Well, thats something I didnt know Sorry bout that. You cant use being drunk as an excuse thats for sure and if you get warned/banned then thats your own fault. I only care about the 'having a good time'

 

Just my 2 cents, but I know for a fact that when I'm drunk, I can think of many things to do that are more fun than sitting at home posting on a forum... like trying to eat a chunk of wasabi. Sure, sitting at home is safer for you, but I'd rather embarrass myself in front of friends than in front of a keyboard.

I actually love posting and chatting drunk. It's unbelievable how many times a human person can tap backspace to type just a single word.

That's what I kinda meant earlier. I'd rather be out with friends drunk than be online drunk. Dusan took it as if I was implying that drunk people have no friends.

 

When I was drunk I went to bed but my PC was still on so I decided to go to the LPA. Its lame to actually start up your PC. Useless aswell because you will fall asleep

Well I got that impression beause you keep saying it like someone would grab a bottle of tequilla and get drunk sitting at home and surfing on the internet. Of course everybody here would rather get drunk out with their friends, but they're still drunk when they come home and that's when they post if they post at all. It's not the worst thing ever, even more, I think that people who act stupid and post stupid shit when they're sober are far more worse. Anyway, I'm not going to go further into this discussion, after all, everyone is free to do what they like.

I don't believe he really meant that, but even if he did it's not like I care about what random people from random forums (no offence, but you really are a completely random guy to me) think about me nor should anyone else pay so much attention to that. Maybe that's the biggest problem of this forum or forums in general - people often take them too seriously.

 

Maybe you shouldn't jump to conclusions then because I didn't imply that.

I don't understand why someone would come on to a forum drunk. Simple as. That's the point I was trying to make. Nothing more.
