Really love these pictures. Hopefully the music is as epic as the art work.

I'm glad they still have the previous album cover. Because you'll look at that first and not be as impressed, and then you'll turn to these, which are incredible. I'm really excited.

Sorry but I like the third picture. When do you ever come across a creature that's a hybrid of a bird, octopus with a tiger's jaw!

The album cover artwork they chose gives us only a tiny little glimpse of what is to come. Is that the meaning behind this? What's the story with the artwork and how does it tie into the overall context of the album? Remember the artwork for the Vinyl? Perhaps that abstract, cosmic, and colourful symmetry will be involved in the album somehow. Just about 100% of the art we've seen so far has been erie black and white combinations, so I think we are in for something special in the music video. Mike and other band members will definitely share more info regarding this big puzzle in the future.

As soon as you said this it made me think that the first two tracks begin with "The" & the last two tracks begin with "The" too. So that also works in the symmetrical context.

    The Radiance
    ...
    The Catalyst

Does anyone else think that the second one would make an amazing tattoo?

And in terms of 'what were they thinking in picking the cover art that they did?' I have said a few times that I think its really appropriate for the title of the album, the whole theme is based around a nuclear explosion, and a dove is the universal symbol of peace in the world. They are basically showing that symbol being obliterated by a nuclear blast.

Wow the second one is my fave one out of those three. It looks like the woman's head is twisted backwards.

In all honesty, as someone who wasn't the biggest fan of the cover they did choose, to me these pieces prove that having something slightly more elaborate =/= having something better.

If nothing else the one they did choose is a lot classier and more mature looking, whereas these aren't so much, or at least I don't think so. They'd be good for certain other bands but probably not for the direction Linkin Park seem to want to go in.

I don't really like these. I prefer the simplistic cover and style they've gone with now.
