It isn't. It's spanish, I'm from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and I'm seeing LP live for the first time on October. I'm not overexcited about it just because a part of my brain still refuses to believe it
I think that M2M and The Catalyst aren't mixed very well... Some of the sounds that should be loud are very quiet.
Joe singing? HAHAHAHAHAHA! And M2M had little to do with the doomsday clock, save for the title. And Chester "losing his mind" at screams? Then what was Given Up?
I like the idea of "A Thousand Suns" being an album the way Shinoda's explained it in that USTREAM chat.
That was very interesting to hear from Mike. I'm even more excited about the record now. I have hoped they will do soundtracks again. With Chester in Saw 7 this would have been the perfect opportunity to add a new song to the soundtrack...
When I think of Chester "losing his mind" in screams, I get this strange idea of those wailing moans that Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin singer for those who don't know) used to incredible effect in all the band's songs. I then take those moans and combine them with Chester's familiar rasping scream. The idea gives me chills.
I don't think it's been mentioned, but in the LPU chat Mike said that there will be tracks from 20 seconds to almost 6 minutes on the album.
Based on the song titles, besides maaaybe When They Come For Me, I don't think you have to worry about that. Awesome. I'll add that to my main post.
Thats not too bad, I'm actually quite fond off Ntr/mssion from Reanimation. As long as they dont pull another 'foreward' I think It'll be great. Damn, I'm gonna have a sezure listing to ATS! Mike confermed alot of stuff I was really hoping to hear on the new album Heavy songs. check Chester screaming like nothing hes done before. check. check Mike & chaz singing back & forth on EVERY full song. check! the WHOLE band doing vocals. check
It was a great chat. ;D Mike said great news about the new album. So now i'm 100% ok and anxious about A Thousand Suns.
Hm, so maybe all the song lengths we were given from that French magazine could actually be correct! EDIT: We now know they got The Catalyst's length right at least.
First off, your English is great And i applaud you for it, i wish i had the patience to learn another language in full Secondly, I know that not a lot of LP Associates are LP Underground members, and i understand that, but in the LPUMBs Mike had confirmed that No More Sorrow wasnt really supposed to be directed towards anything political, but more along the bullshit they had to deal with the legal issues with Warner.
During the LPU chat, Mike also said that they're not worried about performing The Catalyst and/or the new songs live. For them, it's a challenge just like it was with Breaking the Habit and Leave Out all the Rest.
He gave that answer to some dude who asked '"Are you worried about playing new songs live?" or something like that. It seems like there's no transcript of the chat :S He mentioned some other interesting things, but I can't remember.
First off, thanks for the compliment! And secondly, Mike can say whatever he wants, but lines like "replace freedom with fear, you trade money for lives" don't sound anything like label issues to me. I don't think they would put that into a song, and then three years later tell the execs from Warner "Hey guys... Remember how we called you 'thieves and hypocrites' on our last record? Well, we're doing another and we need a few million dollars to produce it, is that fine for you?"
