    this of course is great news...but dont get your hopes up too much....anything can still happen at this point...

    True...we'll just have to see how it turns out.

    Great news! Actually...many of the efforts by Mike Shinoda I've enjoyed (Reanimation, Hybird Theory EP, etc.)

    Can't wait until new album. I will be pissed if it lets me down though.

    This is exactly what i am hoping for Linkin Park to acheive as well. I cannot wait for their next album. YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-A-AAAA!

    yes!! i am soo excited! but i dont get why everyone thought/thinks that meteora sucked. i mean, i thought it was perfectly fine.....

    So did I. I think it's decent, but it's too much like Hybrid Theory.

    Okay, so I've said Meteora sucks but I'll be honest. It's a very listenable album.

    Why is it not on my top 10 list then you ask? Because it sounds WAY too much like it's predecessor and was even criticized in the media for that.

    For a band to gain respect, they need to evolve. Between Hybrid Theory and Meteora, LP really didn't evolve. They just got a little rougher and seemingly cut back on the hip-hop a little.

    But if you put Meteora aside of HT? It just sounds like a harder version of its predecessor.

    But then you get Fort Minor which even though its hip-hop is miles ahead of most of Linkin Park's material. So either Don Gilmore was holding them back and the next record is gonna be as great as Fort Minor, or dare I say it..Linkin Park was responsible for it all along.
