Mike Shinoda has begun teasing something on Instagram which could be a prelude to some new music coming soon. The three images depict a line cutting through three images in what looks like paint and watercolor splattered against a canvas. We already know Mike has new music in the pipeline as he recently met with fans at Tower Records in LA to shoot some kind of music video for a new song. At the time he stated this was for a new solo album so it looks like this could be the beginning of promoting that. What's interesting about the art posted is that it shows a line. Reports from the recent music video Mike shot in LA suggest the new song was called 'Crossing The Line' so this could be alluding to that song. Source: Mike Shinoda Instagram
I'm excited. I don't really know, but I think Mike's at a point where a creative drive like this is a really healthy thing for him and he's keeping up a steady release schedule. As a fan and a wellwisher I'm happy that he's at a point where this is something he's comfortable doing. And these teases make me giddy.
I know they're already close together, but my eyes aren't that great. Could someone maybe arrange them and see if they somehow fit together? I know it doesn't look like it would reveal anything, but it makes me wonder if they're 3 separate images, or one big image posted 3 times, or something.
Mike is among the few people that can make something so simple looks so awesome. Would love to have a 3 separate pieces canvas of that art hanging in our studio.
BMI adds song names all the time. It even has Pictureboard on there if I recall. It's possible it's something Mike has worked on, but I do not believe it's what is coming this week.
Isn't that blatantly obvious that news of some sort is on the way? Why else would Mike be doing something like this? Shinoda does everything with a reason.
