Mike Shinoda teases "new album in a few weeks"

Those happen at the end of the year.

Please don't turn this into "Us vs you". We don't need any more of that in the fanbase.

 

I'd be stoked even if it was simply "The Hunting Party: Acapellas and Instrumentals." The instruments and vocals are both great on this album, and I'd love to hear some harmonies that maybe aren't so obvious in the actual song.

I'd rather have the full Mall OST than anything else only for the full version of Warm Spell. Extra THP tracks or even just Instrumentals/Acapellas would be nice too. I'm not getting my hopes up for any of them though, I'm fully expecting 12 remixes of "Until It's Gone" .

 

Could the info come with the new LP.com? Maybe that's the delay?

 

I don't think its the instrumentals and Acapella if Mike said "new album". If he did not say that, then it could very well be that.

Speaking of which, wasn't the new LP.com supposed to come weeks ago?

 

Apart from not knowing the seasons, Linkin Park also don't know how long a ''week'' is.

 

I wonder what it could be? The Mall OST is the most likely probably but personally I would prefer it to be something else. The music I have heard from it isn't all that interesting so far.

It could also just turn out to be absolutely nothing.

 

there was a Q&A interview that i read that came out this past month with mike( or maybe brad, or chester) i cant remember exactly. Im thinking it had to be mike or chester but prolly mike. but anyways the interview was after THP was released and they are talking about THP and blah blah and then the interviewer asks the question about any more new music coming from linkin park but i cant remember his exact response, so now im trying to find it cause i thought the posibility of more music was unreal until now soo maybe mike said something , i read it on msclan. Mike and Lp are good with surprises

 

Honestly hoping it's something brand new... I'm not all that excited about the Mall OST to be honest.. it seems kinda meh and demoish. I'm not a huge fan of their demos and they don't have all that much replay value. This new album doesn't have a lot of replay value either other than a few tracks (just my opinion). I'm hoping we get maybe an EP or a Mike Shinoda side project related. But they usually mention these things, so I'm not going to expect too much other than the Mall OST. They sorta had this announcement as well back when the Raid ost was released (from what I can remember).

A live album like road to revoltion with the download show would be awesome too

 

Crowd at Download Festival was... Weak, I don't want live album from this.
I think if it is live album, it will be live from St. Petersburg/Moscow or Wrocław. I hope for live in Poland, I was at Rock am Ring, Wroclaw and Download Festival and I think show in Wroclaw was the best.

 

You should all stop before you get slapped in the face with disappointment. Seems pointless to believe this will be anything other than Mall soundtrack or the audio from Download Fest.

Doubt they will have anything remix related because that totally goes against their beliefs for this album cycle, and Mike already said via twitter that he has no plans for anything Fort Minor.
