I would not be extremely excited by a LP and Martin Garrix collaboration (if this is the case) but I think it could sound much better than anything done by that Aoki bloke. It ain't much if it ain't Dutch. 8)
abbaslp, I actually think that, as a ~rock band~, Linkin Park should be a band, not DJs /s Oh, absolutely. /s
Whichever direction LP goes into on the next album, I just ask that Mike has some fresh raping going on. His raping has been stale a bit and lacking; I would like for him to really get into it and be more energetic cause I feel like I just don't hear as much passion when he's raping.
I thought his rap was pretty energetic in Keys to the Kingdom, and I loved his rap in All for Nothing. Wastelands wasn't that great. I would have loved to hear him rap on Guilty all the Same too.
I'm now extremely curious how Shinoda's beats fit in with modern EDM. I can see the club exploding to Shinoda's beats, though.
Shinoda will reshape current dance music trends entirely. He'll shift the culture with new colour palettes or something.
To be honest. I wouldn't mind. I like Martin Garrix aswell. and I really feel like a collab between the two would really work (I mean just check Mikes CoG remix.)
I can't help but feel like everyone overrates Mikes EDM abilities. A few good EDM remixes an EDM artist does not make...Mike's EDM work so far has been pretty solid, but imo he has yet to prove that he can make compelling, original EDM (or EDM-like) music. And by compelling, I of course mean what I find compelling/good (which definitely doesn't include the COG remix).
