If Living Things is a shorter, up tempo version of Minutes, which I don't think it will be anything like, I'd likely rate it my favourite album thus far. While I liked ATS, it wasn't an album I could listen to at any point, in any mood. By nature, I like high tempo music, and ATS just felt a little slow for me. I feel Living Things could be the album that many early LP fans have truly been waiting for. Energetic. A word that on its own is able to sum up the LP of old. That's what they lost along their experimental path. And to all the Meteora haters/dislikers, need I remind you of what album produced one of LP's greatest, if not THE greatest, songs, Breaking The Habit? For mine, that song is a stand out from all albums so far. In a time where nearly all their songs had rap, they made this beautiful, deep, emotional, yet catchy, pop song.
