I think Rob is impressively good, but I wouldn't exactly say that he's underrated. And definitely not overrated, either.

I think that Rob could be a good drummer, but the LP's rythym section has been unfortunately underused other then on MTM. Still, he has the talent, it's just that it hasn't really been used yet.

Personally, I think all the guys in Linkin Park could probably show more talent apart than together. I think they bring each other down.

    Pardon my intoxication last night.

I think what I meant to say is based on what we've heard him do, he's nowhere near as good as most LP fans would like to think he is.

I don't know if joking is the way to go, considering that he's from Holland and English might not even be his first language.

    You have a point. :)

My point was the same as Astat's, though. It's not all about how fast you can drum.

after hearing this I am really looking forward to the new album!! it rocks

and to Sylar I dont think that, all the guys are talented and they all have their different projects (well most of them) but when they come together they somehow mix and use their different talents together which as we saw in m2m when they all did their own thing and brought together turn into one hell of a great album :D

Yeah, maybe if Joe is more on every song or he plays something different. But really listen at the end of the instrumental and you hear some scratches it's cool And Mike was on MTM but he was more busy with his guitar and piano work. On Meteora was Mike on guitar only at Faint. But yeah they must bring back elements of the early days.

Mike played guitar for more songs than just "Faint."

Mike is the bands main songwriter, so it's safe to say that he probably still contributed a lot to the previous albums besides vocals, keys and samples. Same goes for Joe on MTM.

Word to that. He also does a lot more than just guitar on that album.

Mike's role expands with every release. :)

Hmmm on the old live shows you see Mike joining guitaring on Faint only with Phi & Brad. That rocks, besides that did Joe use any samples on more songs on MTM?

Are you kidding me? Joe uses samples on every song.

Also, Mike plays guitar on "Faint," "From the Inside," "Somewhere I Belong," "Crawling," "Pushing Me Away" (when they were "reanimating it") and a bunch of others, not counting songs from M2M.

I'm sure it's possible that whoever creates the samples varies from song to song.

Likewise, for all we know there could be songs that Mike wrote all of the guitar parts for, which at the same time don't necessitate him playing guitar live. Just like the fact that he plays guitar for whichever song's video or live performance probably doesn't automatically mean he wrote/recorded the part originally.
