Yeah...in fact apart from how skinny he is he actually looks atleast half way normal compared to some of his appearances recently.
And I don't mean to disrespect his memory but it almost seems as if he had some recent work done...as in he looks more like he did during Dangerous than he did in television appearances from a year ago. Could just be the hair too.
I'm still unsure his "comeback" would have been successful. There's no way he could have performed the 50 dates. I'm not saying he wouldn't have made a lot of money, I'm saying that the performances would have, most likely, been aweful due to his medical conditions.
I think he would've only done 10 shows tops, but that it would've been enough to resurrect his career. That's how I think. I think if he was healthier (and not addicted to prescription drugs as they said) this would've been the start of a new chapter for him. From what I gathered, many wanted him to release a new album...they were past the BS and just wanted Michael back.
The thing is that most of the people who 'count' will always see the glass half empty with mega celebrities like MJ. To put things in perspective; his last album sold 10 million copies and was still deemed as failure.
True but lets be honest Dave, we're both musicians yeah, if one of your band's records sold ten million would you be happy even if a load of people thought it was shit?
Michael suffered from insomnia, to the point it made him distraught. May have been on a deadly sedative at the time he died: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/06/30/michael-jackson-was-so-di_n_223557.html
I noticed this as well, I found it pretty ironic how he seemed to have had his lips pumped up again...
Final video of Michael Jackson: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/07/02/michael-jacksons-final-vi_n_225113.html He looked pretty healthy to me. I'm beginning to think the death was sudden like Billy Mays and not something that was brought on by drugs. (PS it's been confirmed that he wasn't lipsynching and actually singing over the instrumental, which is even more incredible.)
Yeah, true. Actually singing over instrumentals is incredible nowadays. Kudos for Michael Jackson for doing that.

I don't have the patience to go through this thread, but I find it sick and disturbing that they'd actually give away tickets for a man's memorial service. I guess I can understand the reasons behind that, but what really disgusts me to my very core is people selling the damn tickets online for as high as $6000 (from what I've seen). I'm not even a fan of Michael Jackson, but that's just... words can't describe it. Have some respect, he's only been gone a week just about and people are still trying to suck every last penny out of the man. I only caught the last 10 minutes of the memorial, but when his little girl spoke, I teared up.
What a memorial. Yknow I just can't get over the fact that he's not there anymore. I swear during the memorial I felt as though he was in the audience, watching and crying too :/
Buckethead has released a song for him. you can listen to it here - http://www.bucketheadland.com/ i haven't been able to listen to it, but my friend says it's amazing. It's nice of him anyway.
The song is very soothing. What's everyones take on the custody battle between Jacksons ex-wife Deborah Rowe and Katherine Jackson (his mother). It was decided that his mother would have custody but until now, the ex never showed in interest in even visiting the children. I heard that Michael's mother paid Rowe to keep custody of the children. What a horrible person that lady is.
