meteora is awesome.. B) i love it;the lyrics,music.. they worked so hard for it (meteora special edition).. but i don't know, in my opinion, hybrid theory sounds a little bit better to me....
i think meteora is easily linkin parks worst album. Its ok...just ok. for me... 1. Hybrid theory/Reanimation (sorry cant separate the 2) 2. HTEP 3. Meteora
Maybe the band are just starved for creativity. They wrote 'Hybrid Theory' and the older stuff when they weren't successful, and they were encountering all kinds of hardships. But now, with the success comes a more comfortable and happy living, meaning they can't write lyrics that parallel to those of 'Hybrid Theory' and earlier material.
In my opinion HT is better, but there is a thing about Meteora in evry monent, situation, day i here the songs of Meteora in my head Meteora become a part of my.
In your opinion of course...
And mine. EDIT: And the second part of Kevin's statement is not an opinion. Try to find a song (other than Session) that isn't depressive in some way or another, or takes advantage of teen angst.

Yes it was an opinion, just like it's my opinion that's their best album...having opinions are what makes us unique, the tone that was used sounded like he was stating a fact, just like you. I respect your/his opinions, just think others can do the same. And you're right about that second part (in my opinion) but I challenge you to find a song on Hybrid Theory that's not guilty of what you just accused Meteora's songs of being (expect Cure For The Itch); I can find depressive lyrics and teen angst in all of HT's lyrics also, that's their lyrical style, in my opinion

Yeah, but they express it intelligently lyrics-wise on 'Hybrid Theory'.
Point-in-case: Meteora Word List: Number of songs on Meteora that include the word "pain" - 5 Number of songs on Meteora that include the word "ignore" - 3 Hybrid Theory Word LIst Number of songs on Hybrid Theory that include the word "pain" - 0 Number of songs on Hybrid Theory that include the word "ignore" - 1

I'm trying to remember...which song has ignore in it? Is it OSC? It has ignorance... No, wait, it's By Myself. Right?

You can throw around "pain" as the only noun that describes so called teen angst and "ignore" as the only verb too but there's plenty of other words that prove my point about HT's lyrics. I agree with Mark that Meteora may not do as well a job of expressing those emotions as HT might but you can't go counting words to prove your opinion that Meteora was marketed just to satisfy teen angst emotions. I see nothing positive in Hybrid Theory's lyrics either except that the lyric expression may have worked better than Meteora; but they aren't at all that different word wise.
I'm not saying it DOESN'T have these emotions, I was just proving Mark's point that it expresses them in a simpler and not-so-great way.
Okay my head hurts from all this crazy lyric arguing ; we can agree to disagree otherwise it will go on and on :wth: I think Meteora is better, you prefer Hybrid Theory; we each have our reasons.
It's my favorite linkin park record. I like it even more than Hybrid Theory. I think it sounds more evolved than Ht. It's sound turned out 100% perfect.
It dosent matter what you say more ppl are going to say HT over Meteora because it sold more albums, even though Meteora is obviously slighty better than HT. Hybrid Theory is still excellent though.

It's not OBVIOUSLY better than Hybrid Theory, as 1) Hybrid has sold more albums and 2) if it was OBVIOUSLY better, then we wouldn't be arguing about it. And 3) DON'T DOUBLE POST. OBVIOUSLY.
I think that Meteora is the better record. For sure, the lyrics aren't as good as the HT ones, but it's easier to relate to them and the whole sound is nearly perfect.

I didnt double post, I posted two different comments thank you very much. You know if Meteora was lp's first record it would have sold exactly the same as HT. HT onlyl sold more because it was released first.
