Solar storms, solar flares, the link posted by VorteXLP, the clip of Mike where we can see the sun... The message relating the brightness falling, strong and powerfully. Sound like a theme of a song or the album to me.

perhaps it's a continuation from the last album. Now the minute is up and it's DOOMSDAY!!!

 

MTM MEANING :

The title is a reference to the Doomsday Clock, where "Minutes to Midnight" is a measure of the proximity of the world to nuclear destruction.At the time of the title's announcement, the clock stood at 5 minutes to midnight. Mike Shinoda has explained that the album has various meanings: Don't take that at face value. There are layers of meaning, most are metaphoric...It’s definitely a reference to the doomsday clock—the Apocalypse—a metaphor for death and rebirth, but it could also be applied to the music industry, sort of tongue-in-cheek.

 

The first GIF we got, that could be like a solar flare.

This binary code one has translated to something (it has been changed here and there since) like: "Brightness falls, the two explode forwards at once in the air, and the beauty would be strong and powerful, destroying land and time". This could be like a solar flare going off.

The thing about Mike floating in space could have something to do with it. It is in space and there is a sun in the background, once again a solar flare or solar storm. It being shown at this point could be a coincidence.

That Google thing about the solar storm, once again is linking to the previous points about it being a solar flare or solar storm.

I agree with you lpfaneki. I wrote also just some minutes ago on Mike's blog about the not being a coincidence to have put LOATR these days. It has something to deal with space that is sure, and it might be eyes, but when i played with the charcteristics of the image, and reduced zoom in order to put pixels closer, i saw something very similar to an alien face. Now this quote is not important as it was my subjective impression.

 

I was searching brightness falls from the air and found this poem by Thomas Nashe:

I read up a little about it, apparently it got famous because the line brightness falls from the air is though to be a typo, most people think he meant from the hair and not air. This could have absolutely nothing to do with the message and I'm thinking it probably doesn't but you never know eh? There are some similarities in the poem to the message the whole farewell earths bliss and the message possibly relating to solar flares and the destruction of the earth (if you take it literally) I don't know though do you guys think its a waste analyzing this poem?

 

I might agree with sun image too, if it wouldn't be for the huge shade on two sides. I think the sun can have one part darker on photo, and not two. And the two shades are places exactly where eyes could be; it looks like the biggest shade would be on the right "eye", and that is what makes me doubt about the sun being. Instead if it would be really an alien face, the huge shade would be logical if the light comes from the right part of the screen, and makes the left eye a bit shady but not as much as the other one. The shades are easy to see when playing with the image, and i am sorry not to have a link to it.
So there again, this is just my impression. Don't take it serious..

In all complete seriousness, am I the only person that automatically thinks of The Matrix when I see this picture? It just resembles the Matrix sequence code to me. Could it have anything to do with the new Matrix movie coming out next year?

 

For whoever thinks "la sono" is italian, and means "are the" is completely wrong. I am italian and la sono would mean (sono--->are / la-->female version of the, which makes the two words incompatible, as the correct form would be "sono le", as plural.)
