Message 4 - 'A Thousand Suns' Coming in September?!

I predict the new album will debut right at #1.

 

Are you kidding me?!?!?!?! Recovery is the absolute best release this year. I find it VERY hard to find songs that i like the least on that album

 

I know I'll get a lot of flak for saying this, but I really haven't enjoyed an EMINEM release since The Eminem Show. Especially this album I feel has no teeth. I like him angry.

 

I humbly disagree... I love Eminems... The new pretzel ones are especially delicious!

To be honest all these messages months in advance are getting rather stale. The first one was incredibly fun and interesting, now it seems to have spiraled into a "burn time before real announcement" kind of thing. I just want some new music dammit! Don't tell me about a single release date a month before it hits the radio, that's just annoying.

 

that is what most of the bands do.it builds up the hype and it is part of the promotion.

An entire MONTH in advance for a mere single is what gets me. It's way too damn long.

 

we're talking about Linkin Park,one of the most popular mainstream bands in the world whose record company is Warner.it is absolutely normal,trust me.

And @Joe, I really hope you're right regarding air date, waiting a month for a single just seems backwards.

 

It's not backwards at all. A month is a fairly short (and standard) period of time to begin promoting a the lead single to a new album.

 

I like Eminem although I'm not a Hip-Hop fan, but I found nothing special about "Recovery". It's definitely better than "Relapse" and "Encore", but still a far distance behind "the Eminem Show" or "Marshal Mathers LP". He spends nearly half the record telling us that how great and fantastic he is and he is back to his best and is going to kick every other rapper's a** again. He used to write much better lyrics than that. There are still some good songs there and it's a step in the right direction for him, but his best days as a musician are still behind him, each to their own though, some people might disagree. It had a huge debut in the US because it's Eminem, really can't remember the last time Eminem had a bad debut on the albums chart. And I don't think Linkin Park will surpass 741,000 albums in their first week, highly unlikely.

If you really want to know how many records LP will sell during thier first week, just ask "Paul the Octopus", what a legend

 

Really, what can we expect from this album..? Thinking that drives me nuts lol, I really want to hear it.. What if it's the best LP album? I don't know but my guess is that it's going to be the best ... I don't know I just feel it. Each album was better than the last one (In my opinion..MTM is my favorite), so who knows, I really want to hear it.

About LP, I know it's crazy talk. But do bands ever release 2 singles before an album? Mike said he wanted to release albums in a creative way. Maybe that's what the puzzles were...or maybe not. Maybe The Catalyst comes August 2nd, then the second single, A thousand suns, comes in September and the album comes in October. Don't bands usually go on tour RIGHT AFTER the album releases. Maybe there will be some late Sept shows that haven't been announced yet!
