    *EDIT* If you use your forefinger and thumb and see the distance of the orange part with the bordline of the whole paper, you can see it is perfectly in the center almost, so if you compare The Catalyst with upper board and August 2 with bottom board, is the same. It could be a huge coincidence it cuts exactly in the words "album" and "out". But really, you gave me a huge doubt now lol.

    Maybe... but that date seems as though it'd be much too soon, unless they've got something planned whereby they can release this album much sooner.

    Mike's words: "Let's not assume what's an album and what's a single, shall we?"

    Why did they use "///"? Why didn't they just leave it blank between the two lines? It's just a theory but it first perfectly.

    New theory (highly unlikely but here goes): "A Thousand Suns" is a new single and "The Catalyst" name of the album.

    And the intentionally leaked fake lasted only a couple of hours?
    A leak AND a message? Doesn't seem like the way LP likes to mess around with us.
    Plus, we can't say anything about the intention of the person who leaked it, and we don't know anything about his/her situation. Maybe he feels save enough, maybe she's looking for a new job anyway. All I know is that similar to the LPA, the LPL seems to have trustworthy mods, and if they are so sure of a source, then we can pretty much believe it's real.

    But yeah, theoretically everything's possible. We'll talk again August 2nd.

    The image that was leaked to LPL said August 2nd which was for a single.
    That image said August 2nd, and not if it was a single or the album.
    So it is likely to be the single.

    The leak may have been real (obviously, since the dates matched with the official message), but I doubt the person leaked it to them and said "hey, spread this everywhere and risk my job". I honestly do not think that was supposed to get out in any way, and although I totally respect LPL as a fansite, it was a bit of a ballsy move. Why? Over the years, we we're given a lot of stuff from inside sources in management, that we weren't allowed to put out (we had the Qwerty mp3 a full four weeks prior to being given permission to leak it on the internet, and got Remember The Name from a source that will remain anonymous) and it's likely this source shared it with them, but didn't explicitly tell them to put it online. They just decided to. LPL are good people but they really put themselves at risk by releasing that information, and I'm saying this from experience because we've been there before. I don't think they actually realize how much trouble they could've gotten them [and their source] in by releasing that image. Hell, we've received calls/letters from Warner/band representatives in the past for leaks (before we developed a good working relationship with them) and it's not fun. WB could've shut them down if they so felt like it.

    I'm not trying to be mean, but do you actually read the thread before replying? It's fairly obvious we're talking about LPL's leaked image from a few days back and you'd know that from reading. :lol:
