I think I know what picuture he/she is talking about. If its the one where they have a bunch of Mario's sleeping, then its fake.
I'm not sure about the top images, but i know that the bottom pics are from a demo they used to show off the power of the Gamecube, they're not actually from a Mario game. I'm assuming the top pics are just renders / concept or maybe even fan art / graphics that have nothing to do with Mario 128. The in game shot could be easily fake, it looks like Mario Sunshine only with a different Mario.
