To the people bitching about the words he is "rhyming," instead try looking at his flow. He's trying different things. It's not the straight-forward rapping that you normally find. He's trying not to do the same thing over and over. The way the flow is on this song, it's almost Kanye-esque. I applaud him for trying something new.
You know, some people cares about the lyrics and not just "love the way they sound." The flow is good, but the lyrics.......
Write a better set of lyrics to the flow, then. Also, when you quote a song to prove a point like that, remember the whole line goes "We don't believe the words, we just love the way they sound."

Since we haven't heard the studio version, who's to say we are even hearing the finished product? There might be place-holder lyrics still there. As the lyrics go now, though, I don't have a problem with them. They are telling a story here. I gather that it is about MFR issues like the crisis that we saw with the Power The World campaign, as well as people telling him(Mike) "Yeah, we have your back, we have your support" as they toss him to the wolves.
I never looked at it that way, interesting. Especially the "flooding" part, it really hints as if "you don't care unless it happens to you". Good.
This is what I'm hoping for. I'm convinced that that the lyrics in the third verse - which are identical to the first save for maybe one or two words - are placeholder lyrics.

It would suck balls if he rhymed me 3 times and then put something else in the 4th line, but he rhymes 4 times me, that's alright.
"The night gets darkest right before dawn What don't kill you makes you more strong" So over-used lyrics.... Cliche to say at least.. Was expecting more from Mike, but then again, i guess these lyrics fit the genre. But that is actually the only part of the song so far that i kinda find bad, the rest is actually pretty cool and the lyrics are fine! And as other people have pointed out, the flow is different from what we are used to hear from Mike.
The third line sounds like "A king can't hold these reins so instead" or "A king can't always reign so instead". I don't know, it's really hard to make out, but I'm determined to figure it out.
I'm positive it's "Lightning above" instead of "Lightin' it up", also "I break through the clouds and the fires below me" was such a cooler line, lol
