Retirement I know in hip-hop retirement means taking a break and coming back with more heat! So I'm not really bothered about this. Lupe talks about the album and retirement
It's odd he said he doesn't think he'll ever be famous.. I was listening to The Cool and thinking about how I'm sure it's going to get amazing reviews and just be a rush of success for him. I think he spoke too soon.. I'm quite positive that he'll get recognized for this album.
You can really tell he wants it to be over towards the middle/end of The Cool. He obviously cuts it short and puts in that cheesy, "The CONCLUSION in the NEXT LUPE FIASCO ALBUM" thing. I bet the next album is nearly done already.
I'd be frustrated too if I were Lupe. He has his fans saying he's the greatest rapper alive right now and how he's a lyrical genius but he's just not sellling what he should be. I'm not sure if that's because of a lack of advertisement or what but it would suck if I were in that position. You work your ass off and yeah you have an underground fan base, but it's in the back of everyone's minds that they want to get famous. They want that kind of exposure and sales and Lupe, of all people right now, deserves it.
I guess it would be frustrating. On a side note, what do you guys think of hi-definition, people on last.fm all say it sucks, but i quiet enjoy it.
THE COOL is def one of the best of 2007. i cant stop listening to it ever since i got it... it is truly awesome. every track is growing on me... that's prob the best hip hop out for this year... a good way to end the year. Hip Hop Saved My Life and Little Weapon are the COOLEST
Yeah I read it somewhere on the net yesterday but if doesn't it say anywhere in the booklet then I guess he really didn't. Nevertheless, with or without Mike it's still a great album. The more I listen to it the more I like it. Favourites at the moment: Intruder Alert, Hello Goodbye and Streets On Fire
