    Linkin Park // Reanimation

after LPs fantastic Hybrid Theory i had high hopes for this album, but once it was released i didnt really enjoy it all that much. looking back, i've seen how crazy i was because i believe this to be LPs greatest release to date. granted my music tastes were a hell of a lot different back then but i can now enjoy this album for what it is.. and i think its superb!

right now.. im really loving what these guys are doing and this was a 'must buy' as soon as i had hear the famous 'Dont Stop' i had to wait a little while but i think it was worth it! their live show is one of the best i've seen. epic band, and epic album! mind you there is a lot of IPS material that didnt make it onto the album that is very decent and is definitely worth a listen!

Sway // This Is My Demo

Sway.. what can you say about Sway? He is a lyrical genius. if your not familiar with him i suggest you at least give him a go. granted he might not be everyone's cup-of-tea on these boards but he is a god in his world of music i swear! if your a fan of Lupe (which i am) you should like this guy.. British Hip Hop Rap at its finest.. DCY forever!

    Pedulum // Hold Your Colour

Shout out to PENDULUM! these boys got me into the dancier stuff i listen to now and i think they are brilliant at what they do. the anthems that are 'Slam' and the unforgettable 'Hold Your Colour' are timeless, but all the tunes on this disc are top dollar!

    MuteMath // MuteMath

after one listen of 'Chaos' i was hooked. their new album is due out at the end of this year i think.. that gives you enough time, kids, to go out and buy their first effort and become a fan! catch them on one of their tour dates and i shouldnt have to say any more. but i will.. their live performance is mind blowing, their tunes are catchy as hell and they are really nice guys! what more could you ask for??

So you had nominations open for a day? C'mon, really?

I was ready to contribute to this, but apparently the time it takes me to reduce my favorite albums to 5 is longer than a day.

Well, I wanted to keep it open longer, but the nominations got a little out of hand. People here have really diverse music taste, and as such no two sets of nominations were alike. Using the polling system, it would have gotten way to unwieldy. We already have like 76 albums, and you can only do 15 options per poll for some reason.

Well then, this wouldn't be a very fair representation of LPA's favorite albums of all time, considering not all of the forum was able to put in their 2 cents.

    But I digress.

    YES.

I downloaded it, a couple days ago, and after three listens i'm loving it.

What's the next My Bloody Valentine album i should check out?

Oh, and ShoeGaze is the most awesome word combination possible.

I agree with what I quoted, "Hybrid Theory" is first on my list. :)
