    I hear what you're saying Derek so I'll be on topic, and just say that all the remixes are actually pretty good so far. (Too bad I have to listen on really shitty quality headphones though) :/

    All are pretty good! This trance and LP stuff is WACK but still works in a weird way! Does anyone (aka admins) have previous winners of this mix up competition? Would love to listen to them

    please correct me if im wrong, but i am thinking this is a mashup possibly, with the trance being taken from a mix cd ?

    You are correct. It is from Thomas Bronzwaer's "Certitude".

    Good catch, Glen.

    Classic Sonic: We will have to disqualify your entry as it is a mash-up and not an original work. All non-mash-up months require original music to accompany Linkin Park music. Using other musicians' work is not allowed. Perhaps you weren't aware of that rule, and we'll be sure to highlight that better in the next MMU.

    Lmao, so we get an email from "Mike Shinoda" telling us he thinks the contests are awesome, but unfortunately that we need to stop these contests because the label doesn't like fans using LP material in MMU contests. We immediately questioned this considering Mike posted about MMU on his blog only 2 months ago. If the label didn't like it, they would've spoken up by then.

    So sure enough, one check with our sources and a text response later, and it's not Mike or anyone representing him. We figured it wasn't, but still...who sits in front of their computer using spoofing websites to pretend they're Mike Shinoda, just to sabotage a contest Mike himself has expressed support for? We're always up for taking down content/stopping things if we get an official email from the label, but who fakes a Mike email to stop a contest that's not harming anyone? Get a life you trolls, seriously. How creepy :lol:.

    Yeah, when i got the email I was like "seriously? Mike just blogged about this 2 months ago, why didn't the label freak out then? :lol:". Naturally, as my suspicions figured, it wasn't real. Was good for a quick laugh.

    Now of course, if the label ever DOES truly object to these contests, please have Adam email us immediately. We will always work with the label on everything.
