I am not really excited about it...I mean, the only song I've ever liked from Jay-z was "99 Problems", and besides they are just mash-ups. I may download it, because it's not that big deal.

I'm not really sure if I'm looking forward to this or not. I'm not overly fond of Jay-Z, but some of his songs are rather catchy. I just hope they didn't butcher anything, especially Papercut, because that's one of my favorite LP songs. But it will be something different, to say the least...

I'm excited, but at the same time, I'm kinda nervous.

 

I like how both LP and Jay-Z alike are willing to embrace the Mash-Up culture that has been underground for so long. Of course, it doesn't necessarily mean that all the songs will be good (but I have faith in LP, like I always do), but it should still be an interesting mix. All I really want to see is how, when, etc. the Jay-Z bits come in. And if Mike comes up with new verses to fit the material.

All in all, I'm looking forward to it. I'm a fan of both Jay-Z and Linkin Park, and what the two come up with should be entertaining.

Yah hopefully this isn't for LPU4.0. But teh 30th is a Tuesday which is a regular street release date. This would be better if they wern't mash-ups and just straight collaborations.

Yeah me too. It seemed logical because people kept comparing the strings in both songs. It doesn't sound out of tune with Brit's voice and doesn't... amateur. I like Jay-Z. If you say he sucks you either just don't like him, don't like rap, or don't know anything about rap because Jay has skills. Period. Writing raps like that without ever actually writing anything down? Doing songs in one take? The songs they picked should pair could with the LP songs. Especially if this is "next-level" mashing. With both artists involved. I think it'll only sound bad if you just don't like Hov's rapping.
