LP in MTV's Musical March Madness tournament

No they aren't, they've already released more studio albums than Linkin Park and all of them were on a major label. They just didn't get huge until two or three years ago and since then they've done about as well as LP commercially, if not better, and before that they weren't exactly a small band whereas LP pretty much blew up out of nowhere.

In context, there probably isn't a whole lot of difference between their success now and Linkin Park's success 10 years ago.

 

LP are nailing R.E.M and Paramore are beating Kings of Leon.

I love how much activity is going on in this thread! Keep the votes coming everyone! I want LP to beat the hell out of shitty paramore! It's revenge for them winning the best rock band award. I despise paramore. GO LP!!!!

 

You kind of repeated what i said with just a little bit difference. Which is that I don't think they've achieved the same level of success yet. That one we're going to disagree on because its obvious we're using very different standards so i won't bother getting into it.

And you're saying it'll be Paramore vs. Linkin Park? I'll bookmark round 3 page just to be sure Paramore does not beat Linkin Park.. I suspect that band has crazy fans who are gonna vote several times, more than one would otherwise.

 

At this point your not even voting for the "band" Paramore. Your voting for Hayley Williams.

I find it kind of ironic that people are slating Paramore in this thread because of a baseless accusation and the fact that one of their members is clearly the face of the band, when you can do pretty much the same with Linkin Park. Just replace Hayley with Chester or Mike, and the Farro rant with all the various conspiracy theories about how they were formed and signed, eg all their songs being ghostwritten and them changing their name to Linkin Park because it's sort of like Limp Bizkit.

You said they were less successful and I disagreed. But sure, let's agree to disagree I guess.

I agree with this. Voting for Linkin Park is basically voting for Mike Shinoda.

 

True, to an extent.
Although I staunchly believe Mike wouldn't be what he is if he had been solo/went solo. If someone says that Mike Shinoda is the face of Linkin Park, try making a drawing with just one crayon. There were differences among the Paramore band members that the two brother ignored for long (if anyone read their blog), and it hasn't been any close to that for Linkin Park.

 

I only said what I said cause of two members( I think I don't follow them much ) leaving. Wasn't the point I was trying to make. Guess it looked that way though. My bad.

Wasn't trying to start a " This person IS the band" argument but rather the lack of a band till they replace the band members ( if they haven't already) or she goes solo.

 

But Mike Shinoda IS God.
