the band seems to be in a lot of problems. not that they scrapped their new album first but than it took several months to finally record/mix and master the real deal. i remember them saying that a single should be released in april with the album coming out in june. to my mind there went something really wrong during the last year.

Well yeah, they didn't like the direction the album was going in so ditched it and their drummer left them.

that'S not what i meant. their drummer recorded drums for this album in december last year. most of the instruments were tracked in january and the newspost said this stuff about single in april. but then nothing ever came out why it was delayed. even a delay announcement wasn't made. this whole process was way to long for being anything normal. the scrapping and drummer leaving aside.

He's ok. it's nice that they chose someone from a (relatively) local band

I love Lostprophets. this is great news.. the new album must be nearly ready for release then :) Im excited! I've seen these guys a couple of times live now but someone up above was looking out for me when I went to go and watch Linkin Park in Manchester, UK. because these were one of the opening acts.. it was fantastic!

Same here. I had a recording of the show somewhere from Simon from LPFuse. Not sure where it went though.

Edit: The new drummer's the guy from Beat Union? Tha's a bit weird. I've seen them live before as well. They were shit

me and you both, they were supporting goldfinger a few years back
then they supported alexisonfire like the month after that, so we sat outside the venue with a crate of beer and waited for them to finish. I miss being young enough to drink on a bench and not look like a tramp.

From what I remember they weren't that different to how Liberation Transmission sounded, just with more punk and ska type stuff I guess.

you know when your mate buys a £20 bass guitar and then starts a band and records a few tracks in his kitchen because its the only room in his house big enough to fit the drum kit, they sounded a bit like that when I saw them

though in all fairness it was like 3 years ago and I've never listened to them outside of that encounter.

Yeah, I only listened to one or two of their songs and they didn't seem particularly good, then again the drumming didn't stand out as bad or anything haha.

Yeah I do agree i guess, but my interest in them has kind of dropped with the amount of time it's taken them. Will be good to hear new songs though.
