Just wondering, how can you not be into screamo and like LP?
I'm talking screamo like Thursday and Finch and the Used, stupid sh*t bands like that, thats why i am not sure about buying it...I can handle Lp's screaming, not some guy that whines when he screams!

No, it's nothing like that. It's just regular singing vocals with the odd scream. For example (screaming in bold), in Start Something; Start today, now show us how you feel. Make your way, it's time to choose. Have my say, I know, I know what I see. Have my say, they think you'll lose For all this, you mean so much to me. For all this, you make a move Pass you by, it's all in this life you have Pass you by, goodbye to you... This song is the song with the most screaming, but it's incredible. So energetic. Check it out.

I knew this thread was somewhere....I found it hehehe. I just bought this CD last night. Best 9.99 I've ever spent. The CD is really complex and well mixed, my favorite tracks are "Make A Move", "Burn, Burn", "Last Train Home" and "Last Summer." It is no bullsh*t when this is hailed as the best CD of 2004. It's more complex then Meteora and some of the songs are just downright amazing. I used to think they were immature from Shinobi Vs. Dragon Ninja...but this whole CD changed my mind. I might buy their earlier CD now because of it. All hail Wales. [/Will Copying]
I love "Burn, Burn". That and "Sway" are my favorite ones on the album. I love how in the ending of the songs, they have like different sounds coming. I don't know how to explain it. It's cool, though. So far, it's kind of my most listened to cd that I actually listen to every song.
Ah yeah, there's not a song that I have to skip over. That's what I'm talking about. "Make A Move" is definitely my fav and "Burn Burn" is right up there too.
I love the CD because it can get me totally hyped for anything I need to do. Pop this in on the car ride to field hockey and i'm awesome.
I love this CD it's one of my favorites. My favorite songs are 'Hello Again', 'Goodbye Tonight', 'A Million Miles', and 'Burn, Burn', but all the songs are great...
You mean how each song ending is an intro for the next song? That might be why they named the album "Start Something", because every previous song starts the next one. And its also interesting how the first 5 songs are much heavier than the ones after that, with "Start Something" being the only exception.
Oh yeah? Well I've listened to the cd about 4 times in this day alone. I'm like addicted to it..it's like a really good non toxic drug that I just cant stop getting hits from.
They've grown up so much from FSOP from what I can tell, you really need to listen to this record because tbh I used to think they weren't serious from "Shinobi Vs. Dragon Ninja" but the minute I heard this album it convinced me that this band really deserves all the good press they get. The second CD shows they are talented, innovative and definetely worth a listen so pick it up damn you.
When I first heard them i heard the ninja song (sorry I forgot what it's called) and I hated the vocals. When my friend (the same one that made me listen to them the first time) told me to listen to Start Something, since he got it like months before it came out, I didn't like it very much. But now I LOVE it! I don't know why I didn't like it the first time. Probably because I didn't want to admit to my friend that they were amazing.
